Fantastic experience: I cannot thank Angela and the team at Vets4Pets Maidstone enough for the incredible care they provided to my cat. When he suddenly stopped eating they immediately performed blood tests that showed he had an extremely rare condition. Because of their swift diagnosis and emergency referral to the Queen Mother Hospital for a blood transfusion he had another chance. Without their expertise I would have lost him that same day. Beyond their clinical skill, they are consistently compassionate, friendly, and truly care about their patients. When it was eventually time to say goodbye four weeks later, they handled his final day with such peace and dignity. I trust them completely and will never take my pets anywhere else. Negative experience: I am writing this to express my absolute outrage regarding the treatment of my cat, Godzilla, and the appalling service I received at Vets4Pets. Following a spay procedure, Godzilla suffered from severe bladder discomfort and incontinence. The experience that followed was not only a financial drain of approximately £1,500 but a masterclass in clinical incompetence and a total lack of empathy. I was charged for three "litter box" urine tests, all deemed "contaminated," which makes sense as there is so much I can do to make it sterile. Rather than changing methods, the clinic continued to charge me for these failed tests. Later, a £600 urine sample taken directly from her bladder was rendered useless because staff failed to secure the lid, causing the sample to spill. Following their error with the spilt sample, the vets offered to put Godzilla on medication untested on cats as a workaround while the new sample was being sent to the lab. It is deeply concerning that "experimental" shortcuts were suggested to cover for their own laboratory negligence. This medication is said to cause kidney damage... which they already thought she had. They not only gave experimental medication, but one that could potentially make her so much worse. I refused to give it to her. Additionally, they denied ever spilling the sample and stated that Godzilla just didn't have enough urine in her bladder. Why did the vet tell me otherwise the first time? Throughout this ordeal, only one staff member showed sympathy regarding the mounting costs, and that was because I broke down crying in the room. Furthermore, they repeatedly insisted that Godzilla likely had kidney failure and was going to die. An incorrect Prognosis. After weeks of being told my cat was potentially terminal, it turned out she had a form of cat kidney stones—an easily treatable condition. To put a pet owner through the trauma of expecting a death sentence due to a "fixable" issue is cruel and unprofessional. This practice prioritised profit over precision. I spent over a thousand pounds to be told my cat was dying, only to find out the delay in her recovery was due to their own inability to secure a sample lid. Their bedside manner was cold, and their diagnostic process was shambolic. I strongly advise pet owners to seek care elsewhere, where the staff values both the life of the animal and the emotional well-being of the owner.

Fantastic experience: Owning a rabbit means they’re classed as exotic pets. The rabbit savvy vet is knowledgeable, and understands how painful and critical bunny gi issues can be for them. She ran all the correct tests, and went above and beyond for our little bun. The staff are always polite and willing to help with any query you have. Negative experience: Really liked this vets until recently brought my 2 year old cavapoo in as she was a bit sick and not herself the vets told me she needed a scan on her stomach as she was really bloated and they feared she had eaten something and got it stuck in her tummy she ended up staying in all day as I keep receiving phone calls saying she was getting iller and going down hill every time they rang they suggested getting more scan and test done. Then finally they said I could pick her up at 5 which I was relieved about as I was getting worried but then they rang me and panic me saying she needs to be taken to out of hours vets as she is in bad way and needs monitoring as she may need emergency surgery I was very upset at this point and even asked them if she was gonna make it through all this to which they said that they didn’t know!!! When I picked her up she was very drugged up and out of it. I took her to the emergency vet who said she was stable and I could take her home but as the previous vet had scared me so much by ringing me every hour telling me what a state she was in I decided to keep her there for the night Vets4pets gad given me a bag of medication for my dog to which the emergency vets said that the dosage was too high for her weight! anyways the emergency vet said she had a tummy bug and she needs rest so if you want to be scared and think your dog is gonna die then send them to vets4pets as they just want your money and don’t care about you as a client one bit!!!!!! Left vets for pets the day after and moved them to the emergency vets! DONT GO TO VETS4PETS

Negative experience: My friend found a stray cat and called them to see if the poor kitten could get some help as it was already missing teeth, very thin and sickly, and the vet told them to just dump the cat back on the streets as it wasn’t sick enough to take in, disgusting behavior for a vets office and I’ll never bring my babies there.
Negative experience: Not sure what has changed but I have been with u for a long time. Last month I have spay one of my female cats. For the first visit I have paid 10£ deposit for the check up and then when the place was available for the surgery I did pay 50%. Today I did want to book another appointment to spay another one of my female cats and it was said to me I have to have care plan and I have to pay around 60£ . So I have decided to go and see them face to face. What a nightmare!!! One of the ladies said to me she is on training and the other ginger young girl wasn’t interested what’s whoever keep cutting Christmas stuff. Get the right people for the right job

We're sorry that you felt that the estimate you were given as inappropriate. The estimate was for a trained veterinary surgeon to conduct a sedation (monitored by a qualified and registered veterinary nurse), examine the ears, check the findings under a microscope, perform cultures at n external laboratory and treat based on these findings. We're sorry you do not want to use our service in the suture but are always happy to be transparent regarding estimates and costs.

Negative experience: I can rarely get through to reception as no one is answering the phone calls. I at least have to call a few times before any one answers.
I'm sorry you have struggled to get through on occasion. We are in the process of on boarding two more reception team members as we recognise we have been stretched and want to continue to provide a great service for you when you need us.
Negative experience: My cat Lily had kidney disease, due to this we took out the complete care plus plan to cover consults and blood tests, one free and one for £45 last December 2024. When the plan was emailed Vets for Pets put on on the wrong plan so we called and went to the practice and was told they would correct the plan. Now in August 2025 my cat has been unwell and we are worried about her kidneys and booked an appointment to have a blood test done, we were then told they need to check our plan and it turns out they didn't correct their mistake and we can't have a free blood test. I am told they will correct the plan but this will take a week or longer and we can't have the free blood test until the plan is changed, they were unclear of the process or how long it would take. I emailed them our original forms for the plan and it's very clear what plan we asked for. They agreed this is there is mistake, I asked as a resolution to fixing their error they agree the free blood test today so we can get Lily seen today because I am worried about her and advised they can go ahead and make the plan changes at their end. This was point blank refused so I have had to cancel the appointment and I can't book a new one because they have no idea when the changes are made. This leaves me with a sick pet and no reassurance or apology for their error. I now have to make a formal complaint on line and they refused my request for a manager call-back. I am absolutely disgusted with this treatment, it's taken 3 calls and 2 emails to try and resolve and the error is VetsforPets Maidstone error not mine! I have lost all trust and faith in the vets who seem to only care about money and not people or the welfare of the animals they supposedly care for. I am vulnerable and going through a lot of things right now, this failure by Vets for Pets to acknowledge their mistake, take ownership of the problem or help or my cat me has caused untold stress and worry, Lily will continue to be unwell with no help or support from the vets at all

Negative experience: Our gorgeous baby was misdiagnosed we were given the impression she had arthritis and was treated for that when in fact she had a tumour that progressed and let her suffer for 4 months either condition could have been determined early doors by blood test or xrays u put ur trust in the experts, she was seen by 3 different people during this period all of which could of investigates further the medication given wasn't changing anything, her record they proved was sketchy even claimed we were told. To keep her in we weren't, it took a clean break just jumping from the side to her weakened tumour ridden leg before it was established what was actually wrong and by then all options were bleak she may of been too far gone and still of died however I do not feel the vets prevented suffering with their actions and could of of done xray or blood test alot sooner in the options for her being bleak unfortunately being nice people does not mean competency and in this instance they failed
Negative experience: They don’t care about the animals.For them is just a business.We booked and paid for a consultation and a treatment for our dog.He got really unwell because of it and instead of checking on him they asked for extra money for another consultation and further treatment.Out of order.Please think twice before registering your loved one with them.

Fantastic experience: Bought my childhood dog here 10+ years ago, always a great experience then and recently my new puppy had a fall and fractured his leg, the whole team have gone above and beyond for us making sure he got what he needed as soon as he possibly could, such a warm welcome and all our questions are listened to and answered no matter how small. Negative experience: Possibly the worst run vet surgery we have ever had the misfortune to be with. The Vets themselves are good, however the management and staff behind the counter are beyond incompetent. They book the wrong appointment times on multiple occasions and then leave you in the lurch when you turn up. If you do speak your mind to the staff they cancel your account and pass on to a debt agency. AVOID THIS INCOMPETENT COMPANY AT ALL COST. Plenty of better vet surgeries in the area with better trained staff
Good Afternoon thank you for your review, I am sorry to hear that you are unahppy with the admin charges set out in your complete care contract, however this applies to all clients that cancel their plan within the 6 month period and was signed for at the time of joining. We will not go into detail on a review site, however we do not condone any abrupt, rude or threatening behaviour towards our staff or any members of our team which resulted in a warning email and your choice to part company with us. We also managed to see your pet on the day in question after moving things around so some of the allegations in this review are completely false.We wish you all the best for the future.

Negative experience: BE WARY OF THIS VETS. Misdiagnosed our dogs lameness. Charged us over a £1000 for xrays of elbow and shoulder, only to admit 3 days later it was just a foot infection that needed simple course of antibiotics. Vet upon post-op examination even conceded error on dog's medical record. Now practice manager being untruthful about what was discussed between us and vet, about our concern around his foot prior to the Xray, refusing to own their mistake and reimburse us the unnecessary costs. You ultimately have to trust that your vet is taking the right course of action for your pet's wellbeing, because as customers, we can give our uneducated opinion, but aren't really in a position to question what they say is wrong (until it becomes obvious). This practice has been a huge let down in that respect. Not only in the misdiagnosis and treatment, but more importantly in how they've handled their mistake. Being untruthful about conversations and shirking the responsibility of their error, leaves us with absolutely no trust in them. We've now moved practice and are in the process of taking this complaint as far as necessary. *UPDATE* - The practice has replied to this review, saying they are sorry that we are "unhappy with the solutions offered" This is indicative of the gaslighting treatment we've encountered to date. There hasn't been any solutions offered. Not one! All they've done is deny responsibility and wash their hands. Choose your vets wisely, people.

Fantastic experience: Honestly these guys have been amazing to me. My hamster passed away last week and they nicely sent her off for cremation and was done individually by a separate company. Been a week and is already back home. I have a lovely wooden box engraved for her and they gave me an envelope and inside was imprints of her paws omg it made me cry but I was so thankful. Admittedly it was a bit pricey for her to be cremated but as I expected it would be but honestly the sensitivity and patience of the staff has been great. Thank you so much to your amazing team of staff. If I ever get a pet in the future I will bring them to you for any vet treatments. I phoned the practice already to say thank you but I wanted to give a public thank you too.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t ask for a better vets for my beloved dog. They have looked after her for years and when it was time for her to pass on they treated us with the up most compassion. They made such a painful time as easy as possible. The vet gave us as much time as we needed with our girl after she passed and she reassured us that we’d made the right decision. They worked well as a team, arranging payment in the room to give us privacy and showing genuine care for us and our dog. From her younger years our dog benefited from the companion plan where you have flea, worm and vaccinations for the year plus 10% off treatment and a free health check once a year. She was spayed here years ago and received great treatment back then too. Every member of the team we have encountered over the years were outstanding. Our girl looked forward to meeting Jason and getting a treat from reception. Every vet I visited with her explained everything, taking time to discuss different options. Our dog needed pain medicine which the vet prescribed and dispensed. The pictures are of my beautiful girl and updated with what the lovely staff put together for us. We received a sympathy card in the post from them after we collected our girls ashes. I really cannot fault their service.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff who have made our puppy love the vets. Always have treats on hand and make a big deal of him when he comes in. Has had all of his injections here and didn’t cry at one of them. It was hard to get him to leave last time.

Fantastic experience: I found all the staff to be very helpful and very responsive to my pet. The vet had taken the time to read my dogs notes from the previous vet knew about my dogs history. She was also very gentle with my old boy and treated him gently and professionally.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with the attitude of the admin staff. Phoned for a repeat prescription for pain meds for my dog. Refused to supply without another £45 consultation! More interested in repeating a monthly injection for £100, when it had no benefits! These are a repeat of meds prescribed by this practice twice before. I explained my dog was low on meds but was made to wait for an appointment in 5 days! How does my dog manage the pain in the meantime? Only interested in money, no thought for the animals welfare or well being.Disgraceful attitude, I will be complaining to the Royal College of Veterinary Sugeons. WOULD GIVE NO STARS IF POSSIBLE

Fantastic experience: From the initial consultation, biopsy operation, cancer diagnosis, chemotherapy treatment and sadly the final stage, EVERY member of the Vets4Pets Maidstone team were amazing. The love and care shown by those who answered our telephone calls, greeted us warmly at every visit and the nurses and vets who treated our beautiful greyhound, Moo was outstanding. The courtesy phone calls we received just to see how she was getting on between treatments, tending to her needs as an individual with extra bedding for her short stays, and the after-care phone conversation alleviating our worries, highlighted how the whole team go above and beyond, not only giving Moo the best care, but us as a family too. We cannot thank you enough for all you did for our darling girl.

Fantastic experience: Staff all friendly and knowledgeable. From the first time I called I felt the staff were approachable and had an understanding of the services they could offer. The Vet was able to thoroughly examine my dog and had a calm friendly, but professional air about her this put me at my ease, but more importantly put my dog at ease or at least as much at ease as is possible when being examined by a stranger! He even allowed the vet to open his mouth several times. Everything was explained very clearly and I didn't feel we were being rushed at all. The waiting room is big and airy and my dog seemed at ease in the space. There was very clear communication on the procedure my dog was having, what to bring on the day etc. The after care was very clear and the follow up calls were reassuring with clear guidance on what to do if I had any further questions. Fantastic experience: Allie is an absolute angel! She is so invested in her patients and has researched and discussed our cat’s condition with colleagues to provide him the very best shot at a happy, healthy life. She is so kind, friendly and understanding and we couldn’t ask for a more wonderful vet for our cats. The reception staff are incredible too and have previously wiped my tears and phoned every specialist unit they could think of when my tearaway kitten dislocated his elbow at only 4 months old and needed complex surgery. Fantastic experience: The staff were professional, kind and caring, before during and after my dog dukes operations. My dog duke absolutely loves them especially Marie Rio and Shirley. Jason and Sarah were also very helpful with organising things and explaining what was happening next etc. Laura the manager was extremely helpful and compassionate during dukes treatment. I left my previous vets to come to Vets4pets on recommendations and I have not been disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Lovely reception staff. Vet was lovely to speak to also .Prices are great value for money. I was quoted £300-400 for my small chug for neutering. £185 with vets for pets with their monthly package 10% discount £10 for chipping with all your flea, worm and vaccinations for £14 a month for a year( for a small dog) . Will review again once neutering has been done. But so far am impressed .

Positive experience: Took my jack russell after a visit to the emergency vets as she was still not very well. The vet talked us through all options and was very supportive of the whole process. It’s a shame that they are restricted by red tape from Vets for Pets nationally as I want them to administer another type of vaccine to my dog which they currently do not stock - vet is prepared to do it but restricted by Vets for Pets national policies, frustrating!

Negative experience: Anyone who has bulldogs my advice please stay away !!!! Took my dog in for X-rays which she had general anaesthetic, my dog came out worse off and with a Bill of £200+ when it was there fault. My dog went in fit and well only needed X-rays on her legs to which she then suffered breathing problems and got an infection. I had to rush my dog to out of hours vets as she was struggling to breath . Its quite clear they are very incompetent and unexperienced. You don't expect to take your dog in for one issue and come out with other issues .You complain to the manager and the area manger to get a very rude response (unacceptable) . I have taken this matter further !!!!!!

Negative experience: Took my bullmastiff to see the vet today. The receptionist and vet was very lovely and Friendly. But I did leave with no reassurance and not a great deal of confidence. Vet was not very confident. She was very weary of my dog. He is big but very soft. I understand you don't know what's in a lump but the vet just wasn't confident at all. Feel like £42 was just wasted as we will now go for another check up at another vets. The outcome could possibly be the same but the umming and unsure feel that we felt just left us uncomfortable to leave our dog in the vets hands.

Fantastic experience: Reception staff very friendly and showed interest in Dot. Saw Dot at short notice. Explained the treatment options and went through correct technique to administer the drops. Fantastic experience: I was really struggling to find a vet to see Mango the leopard geko who urgently needed help with a swollen eye. The surgery fitted us in the same day and the young lady was very helpful and professional. My only negative was being shocked by the £35 bill for eye drops as it does seem rather alot when human eye drops are less then half then that lol
