Fantastic experience: Friendly front desk staff & wonderful vets. Makes unpleasant visits bearable.

Negative experience: Had to take our dog for an out of hours appointment, due to him vomiting badly, phoned our own vets (Heath & reach) and were then directed to this practice after being informed that the consultation would cost £350.00!!, we agreed to this exorbitant fee because we had no other option excepting not seeing a vet at all. Went in for the consultation, and our dog is not keen on the vets, so knowing this we had him muzzled and I held him tightly, the "vet" clearly didnt want to approach the dog at all, and after much indecision managed to take his temp. She then gave us about 6 possible causes for his vomiting, and then tried to up sell us jabs for anti sickness and pain relief. So the fee worked out to approx £35.00 per minute. This is extortion via compassion.

Fantastic experience: All staff really welcoming and friendly

Fantastic experience: On Saturday we had to take our little cat, Florence, to be put to sleep. The kindness and compassion from the whole team at Walnut Tree Vets was outstanding. We would like to give a special mention to Laura, the vet, who explained everything to us and gave us time to say goodbye. She made a very difficult time more bearable with her kindness, empathy and compassion. We cannot thank her enough.

Negative experience: Had a check-up appointment booked for a cat after an £1000 op. Agreed short time off boss as would only need 30mins. Was left waiting for 30mins upon arrival without seeing anyone. When I spoke to the receptionist they were happy to cancel the appt. without finding out when I would be seen. Guess what, I am not using these time wasters again. What really wrankled was people were coming in with their pets and being seen within 2mins of arriving. Who did I upset!

Fantastic experience: Very professional and polite.

Fantastic experience: We popped over to the Walnut Tree branch today because our furbaby, Roxy, got spayed. What a brilliant experience from start to finish. The team explained everything in detail, and when we picked her up, Claire was fantastic at explaining to my little ones how to take care of Roxy. Roxy's chuffed to be back home, and she was certainly well looked after.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely understanding and very thoughtful

Fantastic experience: When you have a poorly animal you want reassurance and that is what we got with our poorly cat. He was seen the same day blood test results came through in hours and he was treated and is not back to his happy hunting self. Couldn't recommend this veterinary practice more.

Fantastic experience: A wonderful place with kind and caring staff. They looked after my dog when he ran off. They also did all the liaising with MK Dog Warden and I was reunited the same day in the afternoon. They didn't even ask for payment even though they'd be totally justified in doing so. Thank You x

Fantastic experience: I have been taking my Pug to MK Vet Group - Walnut tree for just under a year now and I wish I had switched from our old Vets sooner! As someone who regularly takes their Pug to the Vets either for routine appointments or regular health check ups, both Zeus and I have felt so at ease. The atmosphere and all of the staff are so friendly and personable and I can really tell that they care for the animals rather than it feeling like a corporate money-grabbing business. The staff go above and beyond for us and I’ll always be grateful for that. The care plan they offer is also super useful and money saving. As someone who gets a lot of anxiety and easily panics when my dog is showing any signs of illness or discomfort, MK Vet Group have really helped me to feel at ease. Thank you MK Vet Group. Fantastic experience: My rabbit has had some struggles after his surgery and the team have been very helpful and accommodating to helping with his recovery. Big shoutout to the vet (I think her name is Jan) who looked after him for one of the appointments and sorted him out. We are very grateful. We are very thankful :)

Negative experience: Correction: We moved away to a new Vet. Our dog needed heart medication, every order means the amount of the meds were wrong; I wantwd only tick, flee and mites protection (dewormed ones a year after a conversation with a Vet), but I only get combi products. When chllenged this the reception staff call me rude. I was not rude, I am looking after our dog. Very good service and the ladies at the reception are very supportive. They do for us the claims from to our pet insurance every few months. The vets are also good. They are patient and explain the procedures. Question are answered in a understandable way without complicated terms.

Fantastic experience: Update 3 years later: MK Vets are still the best! The vets are passionate and go above and beyond, and the supporting staff make everything go smoothly. Rats are fairly uncommon pets, but MK Vet Group staff were understanding and helpful in all of my visits. In instances where issues were potentially serious I was offered appointments on the day. Vets listened to my concerns, offered treatments and talked me through possible follow up options, should things turn for the worse, which was a reassuring.

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but the highest regard for this practice after having to say goodbye to my faithful and beloved staffy, Kya. From the receptionists before and after our visit to say goodbye to our beautiful girl to the vet who made Kya’s final minutes so peaceful with total respect for us all, I thank you. When I collected Kya’s ashes, the same respect was shown and I was overwhelmed to receive a card in the post with condolences from the practice a few days later. Thank you so much to you all ❤️

Positive experience: As always, great service just ridiculous prices for drugs you can get for 5 euros in spain. Paying over £200

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank MKVG and Lilly for the help and support with Grace. We were let down by Vets at Pets who said Grace didn’t have breathing issues, and it was a seasonal issue. However, this continued and I had an appointment which clarified issues with her breathing that would cause her long term suffering. I lost trust in vets for Pets, so got Grace inspected at MKVG, who carried out a detailed assessment of videos and her breathing on the day, who confirmed it’s was best for her to be put down. During the period before this I had many conversations with Lilly, who is compassionate, empathetic and a person who truly understands dogs! The lead vet is exceptional. Her understanding of breads and what’s best for dogs, and the way she communicates this is hugely impressive. I will miss you forever, Grace. A rescue dog who helped an imperfect human.

Negative experience: Unfortunately this place just seems to be more about money than the health of the animal in my opinion, used to be a great place glad I changed from these guys

Negative experience: Disgusting treatment. Was told after 2 visits my dog was OK, upon 3rd in a month told to say goodbye or I'm cruel. Took dog home anyway to say a propper goodbye over weekend and he recovered. Then 4 months on he started going backwards again. During his decline I did receive excellent care from the vet Rachel, and I only wish she had a private practice. He developed an allergy or reaction to the meds he was on and I took him in again. Was given 1 lot of treatment and told if it doesn't work to call and get antibiotics. I called to get them and was told I had to bring him in again. I said why if he'd allready been seen? Was told they can't give them without him being seen in 3 months. I repeated he had only just been seen. The lady kept going round in circles and I felt I was being ripped off for another appointment. I explained this is prob my last weekend with him which they knew as he was booked in for our last appointment in a few days once Rachel was back on duty. I was obviously frustrated and upset by loosing my best friend but this didn't stop the lady saying I was shouting so got put onto the manager. She noticed it was because the way the notes were on file it looked like he was in for something else. I appolagised if I came across as rude but was obviously in a bad place. She accepted and said a vet would call to arrange the meds. The vet then called and decided for some reason it was his job to acuse me of being abusive to the previous lady and ban me from the practice. I have no idea how it went from raising my voice to a another member of staff becoming involved and being escalated to abuse. I can only assume they didn't like me calling them out on there scam of repeated appointments for same problem (not first time it's happened) im now left having to book my dog in for his last day here in a new/strange place and having to wait a few days longer than I would, bearing in mind they accused me of being cruel for wanting to take my dog home for a last meal and trip to his fav place. I was in tears on the phone both times to them but came out being accused of being abusive and banned. I just wanted my best friend to be as comfortable as possible in his last few days, but mkvets just wanted me to drag him up there for another consultation fee. R.I.P Rufus you deserved the best, and apart from Rachel, these let you down, ultimately meaning I did by continuing to take you there. I'm sorry my baby, until we meet again.

Fantastic experience: Recently got two kittens, we've had three appointments so far for jabs/ kitten check up and the staff have been amazing seen two vets and a nurse. Lovely reception staff to!

Fantastic experience: I got my appointment date wrong, even after having had it reminded in a message…. They still managed to fit my little Kato in for her vaccination, she gets very stressed when she goes out so that was amazing. Jordan also always helpful, didn’t even flinch when my baby had a little poop accident, and helped (very much) with her cleaning. Thank you team!

Negative experience: After spending just under £6000 between this surgery and another surgery (that Walnut tree recommended) 2 weeks ago I popped in today with a photo of a small simple scratch wound my dog had sustained and asked the receptionist A: did they supply over the counter antiseptic cream or B: if not then could they recommend a brand or the best option. I was told plain and rudely by the receptionist “no, they don’t supply cream” “no they are not willing to even help with options” and “go and ask the chemist”. She is rude, blunt, unhelpful, unprofessional and should not be the face of the practice. Disgusting treatment.

Fantastic experience: The Walnut Tree branch and the Stony Stratford branch were both wonderful in helping care for my senior kitty Merlin when he became unwell. Bob was so caring and kind when we had to have him PTS. It was heart-breaking, but Bob made it as easy as it could have been, and we felt that Merlin passed away very peacefully. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: We moved our dogs to Milton Keynes Veterinary Group when they were 1 and haven't looked back. They are now nearly 13 and suffering from more senior problems but whenever we call or use PetsApp this group of practices are always brilliant and professional. We have never recieved anything other than fantastic service. Woukd like to make a special mention to Matt who has been outstanding helping us recently. Extremely knowledgeable and thorough. We don't live in Milton Keynes anymore but wouldn't look anywhere else if we ever got any other pets.

Fantastic experience: We changed to this Vet practice, and the service and quality of treatment has been exceptional. They keep you informed of progress and nothing has been to much trouble for them. Our two cats that they treated and nursed are now well again and we cannot speak to highly of them.

Negative experience: Been the family vet for years, but recently appear to be money focused over animal care. Some recent experiences include, being quoted a price for op, after dog had sleeping jab then told cost would be double due to an error on there part. I couldn't afford it so dog was woke and returned. Another time, didn't have the correct meds so gave me a substitute and said it may not work, it never. Upon calling to get the correct one, was made to bring dog for another exam to get the mefs they'd ran out of. Cost £180 for an eye ulcer. Case 3, my dog has a lump appear on face. Told possible bite possible grass seed. Sent away with anti inflammatory. 2 days later dogs faced Ballooned up needing emergency vets, who gave antibiotics. (Should've been giving first time to avoid infection not wait for it) 2 days later still no improvement. Over 1000 spent between them and emergency vet this month so far. Told them I can't pay till tomorrow when I get paid, they won't see my dog till then. This is last time they will be seeing my animals. I may add the vet Rory was a pleasure to deal with and done an amazing job on rufuss op

Negative experience: Absolutely no compassion or empathy shown for our dog who was put to sleep & a really rushed service. Incredibly bad attitude staff comparable to a moody teenager. Dog kept on the floor while being put to sleep and I was rushed to pay as soon as the dog closed their eyes… I advise anyone who is considering WALNUT TREE to go anywhere else. AVOID!

Fantastic experience: Went in late last night to have my dog looked over post-op as we had some concerns, was handled very professionally and caringly by Casey. A very nice environment too, will be transferring from our current veterinary practice to here in the very near future.

Fantastic experience: Saw a lovely vet who was very thorough and gentle with Dora, not the news we wanted query asthma,but will go with recommendations and booked back for a few days for xray, update Dora had her xray also lung flush, anxious week wait for results showed bacterial lung infection and may still be asthmatic is on Antibiotics and is showing signs of improvement and booked back for follow up. Highly recommend MK vets practice lovely vets, nurses and reception staff

Fantastic experience: Visited for annual vaccines and tablet collection. Really friendly staff on arrival. Vet was so friendly and applied the vaccine with no issues. Gave my dog a thorough health check and provided good advice. Highly recommend the stoke road branch.

Fantastic experience: Very frendle staff , our dog had to have 75% of his tail removed , all went very well 1 thing we was asked to return for a follow up visit to make sure all was OK, no cost When we returned the vet removed the bandage and checked all was OK, when we left they charged £32.50 When asking they said the appointment was FOC this price was for the bandage? How reduclice as they could not see if all as OK without removing g the bandages

Fantastic experience: I have taken my cat here for the past 7yrs now. This is one of the best veterinary clinics I have taken my pets to. It’s super easy to reach them on the phone, receptionists are very helpful and efficient at getting you booked in according to your convenience. Once there, the clinic itself is quite neat and tidy. Smiling faces welcome you always. The nurse and the vet are amazing with animals. They are very gentle, patient and definitely competent. They are also the most affordable from what I have experienced. Would recommend 100%!

Fantastic experience: I have pet rats and it's difficult finding a vet with the right knowledge. But Joanna was so helpful and knowledgeable and has rats of her own. She went above and beyond to try and make sure my two girls have the best care and treatment when feeling unwell. I feel so reassured and relaxed knowing my girls have such an experienced and caring vet.

Visited the Waddon way surgery tonight, easy parking, clean waiting area and consult room. I am a paranoid pet owner, who is also an RVN. I know my cat is not always the easiest patient. Andre listened to my worries and made me feel at ease and reassured me. My cat had a calm and pleasant visit. Many thanks for your help and I feel very relieved after my consult.

Negative experience: Had a series of Bad experiences compain and they justify everything including well just put the dog to sleep and as everyone already says RUDE reception but since offically complaing I now have been told not to come back I guess they got the money they wanted now

Fantastic experience: I visited today with a stray Tom that's known on the estate I live, I managed to catch him (he's getting his troublepuffs removed soon)he wasn't eating, not done a no:2 for days and today he was vomiting, called the RSPCA and they said call the vet and I did!The vet I see with Goodboy was fantastic!! she was lovely and understood that he was a stray and I wasn't trying to con anyone! Yeah, really lovely lady she is!!

Fantastic experience: I want to say a huge thank you to the team for helping get a grass seed out of my dogs ear today. In particular, Molly who answered my call and was professional and informative over the phone, Sarah, the vet who saw her and Courtney who assisted with treating her. Fantastic experience: Amazing from my initial phone call to the visit with my poorly pooch. The vet was so patient answering all our questions and took time to explain everything before administering the meds needed. Weve been with this vets for over 12 years and been very happy with the service.

Negative experience: I hope I never came back in this place it’s really bad service I ever have ,I been a year ago with my dog and she pass away ,and yesterday my cat died because they was only guessing what’s wrong ,its shame he was just one year ,I hope people will see how bad that place it is and never come back ,in that wet you can take your animals if you want that they die

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing vets all the staff here are so caring and lovely. Unfortunately my house bunny became heart broken after his sister passed away and refused to eat or clean himself. The staff at walnuttree did everything they could to help us deal with the loss of both our precious house bunny's. The best vets in the world! Thankyou for all your support..... myself and my daughter are forever greatful. Also the sympathy card from yourself was very much appreciated.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional care given recently to our 13 year old Yorkie who had to have an operation. They were realistic in terms of what could happen but also professional and empathetic in their approach. Thanks for giving us more years with him ☺️

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately they had to give my dog his angel wings on my last visit there, but they were very good and compassionate about it. I couldn’t fault them.

Negative experience: We have been going to this vet practice in Walnut Tree for 8 years but the service has really gone down. My dog had GI and I requested a blood test to find out why. I had to chase the results 3 times over the phone. Next day we went back and waited an hour while my dog was whining from the pain lying down in the middle of the waiting room. We had an appointment and other people were called in ahead of us regardless they arrived with less sick animals after us. Then another 10 days wait for them to submit my insurance claim which only happened after chasing them on the phone for it. Very stressful experience regardless of the high price you pay for the service.

Positive experience: On my visit I found it to be a good experience, staff were happy and helpful. Very understanding when it didnt quite go to plan.

Fantastic experience: Have used this practice for years. They are people who really care about animals and seem passionate about their work. Fairly priced and with full hospital facilities. I wouldn't go anywhere else, though I know there are other good surgeries in MK.

Negative experience: Hi yesterday I found a very injured swan in the middle of a crop field I rang around a couple vets no luck got through to this vets was told to go there press the botton and to wait outside as it was a swan I waited there with this poor animal suffering in my car I was met by a very rude lady that was not fussed about the swan was told they would send out a nurse to check him over after waiting 45 minutes I was then told by the receptionist that they don't want to take him and he will be euthanised as straight away!!! The customer service by this vet was absolutely shocking so rude no care for animals I know for a fact I will be telling people do not go to this vets as they do not care about the animals it was an inconvenience I managed to get hold of tiggywinkles and drove the hour to take him there and drove a hour back please if you care about your animals DO NOT USE THIS vets

Fantastic experience: We've been with MK Veterinary group for over a year now with our 17 month old greyhound cross and had quite a few interactions, including a gastroenteritis visit/treatment and overnight stay. Each and every member of staff at each of the branches we have been to were absolutely lovely. They are always going the extra mile to make sure we are aware of any issues that come up, make recommendations that we should look for and are just friendly, knowledgeable people to deal with. We recently got her spayed which was definitely a learning curve for first time dog owners, but they were great and always at the end of the phone for any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this vet to any pet owners! Also, a concern of mine was insurance payments as I've heard some horror stories from other veterinary practices, but it was as easy as giving the details to both parties and they did the rest, couldn't have been easier. Thank you MK Veterinary group.

Fantastic experience: I visited this vet today. I brought in a wild hedgehog I had found injured outside. The vets were extremely patient with my (frantic, probably deranged-sounding) phone call describing where I had found the hedgehog, and described clearly the best course of action to take. When I entered the surgery I was greeted by lovely staff who asked me what my pet's name was straightaway, and quickly gave me a straightforward form to fill in when I said it was a wild animal. A staff member took the hedgehog to the back, and returned promptly to tell me what was wrong with it. She reassured me that they could treat the hedgehog and release it back into the wild at no cost, which was a relief to me considering the short notice I had brought the hedgehog in at. She then thanked me for bringing it in. I got the sense that the people who work here really care about animals and providing a good service to their customers. Thank you to everyone at this vet who helped me and the hedgehog. It is very much appreciated :)

Fantastic experience: Seems a lot better than Vets 4 Pets, less gimmicks and more care and attention spent on animals. All staff appear very experienced and vets not just out of vet School.
