Fantastic experience: You have been amazing with our Kicia. The care during and after her surgery was outstanding, and you’re always there whenever we need guidance or support. We couldn’t ask for a better team!

Negative experience: Have used for 22yrs and been very Happy, but since changed in the last couple of yrs I don't find the vets as good , both my dogs were mis diagnosed, 1 passed within 4 days of treatment and my other in 3 weeks, both dogs were healthy and middle age , the out of hrs (emergency) is shit ,travelling to Newport with a sick pet is not acceptable, I won't be using or recommending again , so sorry Fudge & Rocky you deserved better

Fantastic experience: Lovely welcome from the reception staff. Very knowledgeable and kind service from Hannah the vet, she really went out of her way to get to the bottom of the issue with my cat , shame about there being no out of hours service however this isn’t the fault of the staff.

Negative experience: "I'm a bit frustrated with my recent visit to the vet for my dog, Milo. I was hoping to get him some Metacam®, which he's had before, to help with his pain. However, they refused to prescribe it without a blood test. While I understand the need for blood tests in some cases, I wish they had been more upfront about this requirement when I initially called to schedule the appointment. It would have saved me a trip and some time. Now I have to schedule another appointment just for the blood work, which delays Milo getting the pain relief he needs. It feels like an unnecessary hurdle, especially since he's had this medication before. I'm left wondering if this is really necessary or just a way to increase costs. I'll be getting the blood test done, but I'm definitely considering other vet options in the future." Because all we got was paracetamol for milo

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with the services provided by this veterinary group. While they boast about employing highly qualified vets and nurses, their claims of providing dedicated support and out-of-hours care in the Hereford area are simply untrue. My pet needed urgent care during the night, and I was shocked to discover that their so-called "dedicated support" meant having to travel all the way to Newport. This is unacceptable, especially when they claim to be the best veterinary group in the country. Their focus seems to be more on financial decisions and woke slogans about diversity and inclusion, rather than actually providing essential services like emergency care. They are happy to invest in their teams and salaries, but not in ensuring the well-being of the animals they are supposed to care for. I urge everyone to avoid this practice. If you're looking for a vet, ask them one simple question: "Where is your out-of-hours service?" If the answer is Newport, then go elsewhere. Your pet deserves better.

Fantastic experience: Very caring staff throughout the practice. They care about both pet and owner. On our recent visit there was a candle lit on the reception desk as a mark of respect for an owner who were saying goodbye to there pet. This was a very touching gesture ❤️

Fantastic experience: We have been with this veterinary practice for well over 20 years, firstly with a dog and now with a cat that has adopted us. Never had any reason to worry about their expertise or the way our animals have been treated. I would go to them in preference to my Dr. If it was allowed.

Fantastic experience: MONTY came in our porch a couple of winter's ago, my son sent out messages but no one claimed him. We took him to Belmont Vet's, he was checked over and chipped. He was Also diabetic for two years he lived with us, but sadly in may his condition became a lot worse and we took the heartfelt decision to allow him to rest forever. None of this would have been possible without the total dedication of ALL at Belmont Vets, the true Florence nightingales of the animal world. Thank you so much for ALL your hard work RIP MONTY XX

Fantastic experience: Saw the Saturday afternoon emergency vet. She waited for us to get there, helped up into the building (I am disabled) and was very thorough and comprehensive in her examination. I was reassured that my dog would be pain free over the weekend and we were given pain management and an x ray was booked for first thing Monday morning. I was given clear instructions on how to manage my dog to ensure her comfort and what to look for in terms of deterioration. I would highly recommend Belmont, particularly in an emergency.

Fantastic experience: I have been with Belmont Vets for many years now and it is always a warm and friendly welcome, lovely staff, helpful and always happy to help. Cat, Hannah, Dan & Charlotte have been amazing with our Piper. Piper was extremely poorly and with all of their knowledge and dedication she has come out the other side. We couldn't be more grateful for what they did for Piper and us. We have our bouncy, lovable Piper back to normal. Truly unbelievable

Fantastic experience: Receptionist friendly and welcoming. Vet Charlotte took time to deal with Ava poodle personally and is fully appraised of her condition, and was so gentle and caring with her.

Fantastic experience: Great staff, great vets, calm atmosphere. Separate area in waiting room for cats to avoid altercations. The advice is always spot on and they have time to listen to you. In my opinion, they are the best vets in hereford.

Fantastic experience: Took my brother's dog for an annual health check and booster. Appointments easily booked over the phone friendly reception staff. The Vet was very pleasant and professional. There is ample parking.

Fantastic experience: Belmont Vets is a very friendly practice. Caring professional and efficient from the receptionists, vets to the cleaners who keep the whole area sparkling clean. There is an area set aside especially for cats which is a godsend for our very nervous feline. We were recommended twelve years ago by a friend and over time have done the same to friends and pet owners new to the area.

Negative experience: The most money grabbing veterinary practice in Hereford. Took the dog this wk and said thought it was her teeth as not eating even though she wanted food. The vet checked and said her teeth were fine. So after an anti sickness jab and a prescription paracetamol we were charged £90. Checked her teeth when getting home and found they were not healthy. Rang back so they booked her in for dental treatment at an approximate cost of £900. Taking into account this is a pomeranian not a rottweiler. Not happy to say the least. Have now taken to an independent vet who has assessed the dog agreed that it is her teeth and she has an absess, after bloods were tested some raised levels and worried incase sepsis has started to develop. Now on antibiotics prior to dental surgery at half the cost of belmonts quote. Absolutely appalling assessment from a supposedly qualified vet at belmont.

Fantastic experience: They REALLY care for my pets, always understanding. Clean, friendly and fast for anxious pets visiting, love this vets and all they do for my pets.

Negative experience: i've had a couple of bad experiences with this vet surgery... i took my dog here a couple of years ago because she wasn't eating properly and was charged a consultation fee for the vet to say "shes playing games" didnt even check her over or anything, just them words. after taking her to another vet it was found that she has a digestion problem. also the prices have got ridiculously high.. i know there's a cost of living increase but the fees have basically doubled. how have they increased this much??

Fantastic experience: Lovely business, all of the staff are friendly and brilliant with animals. My dog is always excited to go to see them! They always have the animal’s best interest at heart. They also offer laser treatment for healing wounds, and I highly recommend, it really speeds up the healing process.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely lovely reception team we saw and then the vet was very understanding, explained everything and whilst we unfortunately had to put our cat to sleep the vet gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes. We were never rushed or made to feel like we were taking too much time in deciding what to do. We also received a lovely handwritten card a little bit of time after which was really touching. 1000/10!

Positive experience: Always a warm welcome and extremely knowledgeable staff. The only thing that could be addressed to improve, in my opinion, is to inform you of the expected cost in advance.

Fantastic experience: During a very difficult time for us regarding our extremely unwell cat. The staff were incredibly thorough giving us as much information from tests and guided us in making a decision for the good of her, they were professional and compassionate at all times.

Fantastic experience: We moved 25 miles over the border into Wales and have struggled to find a vet that we have had confidence in. Belmont vets are professional and demonstrate their care for our dogs, they are ably supported by the reception team. We have re registered even though we have to travel 25 miles, that's how much confidence I have in them.

Negative experience: This used to be a great vets years ago, but now they only seem to care about money and not the animals. They charged us over the odds to look at our pet for about ten minutes and said he needed a really expensive operation without even properly looking over him. We went to another vet for a second opinion and we were with them for over an hour. They gave us different options and were so helpful, charged us next to nothing. They just seemed like they really cared about the welfare of our boy unlike Belmont who just want as much money as possible from you. The second vet got our boy back to normal and he's healthy and happy again. Following the previous incident we took our boy back to Belmont for a problem with his ear, the vets completely messed up the procedure and left our boys ear scarred. Although this happened they still charged us (again no care for the animal, just money!), they didn't care about what they had done, they just wanted to make sure we took care of the outstanding bill. Following this we removed him from this vet, and we are now with a better vets. If you are thinking of registering your beloved pet at this vet, think twice as they don't care about the animals at all! UPDATE Response to Belmont Vets comment: I am sorry, you obviously didn't read my review properly. As I said you knew what had happened but still demanded we settle the bill. We did contact you regarding our experience and the member of staff that spoke with us couldn't care less, they just kept repeating "I'm sorry to hear that" in a very patronising way.

Fantastic experience: Warm welcome, clean environment, polite receptionists, knowledgable vets and nurses. It’s clear that they all love animals and working with them. I am always sure that my pets are in good hands.

Fantastic experience: Belmont vets are always friendly, caring and helpful. They saved our cat’s life by spotting the first signs of cancer in her ears and doing life saving surgery. The only thanks they got from her was the odd spit when examining her.

Positive experience: I have been using this vet practice for over 20 years now, and have always found the advice and treatment for my various pets over the years, to be consistently good. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that the practice is no longer operating an emergency after hours service. I have had to use that service in the past, and if I had to travel to the alternative place now being offered, for the same ailment (gastric torsion) my dog will probably not survive.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Belmont vets have been brilliant. We have had to take multiple cats there for various issues and each time the vets have ensured that we knew the full extent of what was going to happen up front, given us choice and respected our decisions. We have even received a condolence card with a heart felt message after a really difficult situation and having to have a young cat put to sleep. I can't recommend them enough. A superb practice!

Negative experience: Don’t join there lifetime care club, used it for 3 years they didn’t tell me I could have flee or working treatments cat was never microchipped and I thought it was just one years worth of injections (which I used) , had no reminders that I had been paying for something and not using it, I was talked into a direct debit which I never used and when I took my cat in last month they tried to give me a bill of £130 for an ultrasound I hadn’t approved of prio thurther more when I said I wanted to get my cat microchip they said I would had to pay for it as the year resets with the care club so basically if you don’t use it you loose it so in short I paid over £360 for 2 injections so I can’t say I would recommend this vets in the slightest

Fantastic experience: When ruby broke her leg two years ago we were told it was one of the worst brakes she could have and possibly may have to have it removed. She had an operation to fix it by a wonderful vet that came into the practice just to preform the surgery unfortunately that operation didn’t work. I was determined to save her leg and so was the vet so offered to come back free of charge and preform another operation on her trying something different which still wasn’t Guaranteed to work but worth a try. Months went by and Fortunately the operation worked and she continues to run around on all four legs! Through the whole experience Belmont vets were excellent and have ruby five star treatment, the vet all so fantastic and with out him she would be running around on three legs now! Although with any operation like this it was costly she was worth it. Highly recommend this vets and ruby continues to visit for her boosters and health checks.

I was very impressed with the friendly welcome and with Charlie, the very helpful vet who listened to me and was happy to take my views into account when working out a treatment plan. Fantastic experience: I've only been in hereford for 3 years and belmont was recommended to me . The staff are very helpful and although Stan is a anxious dog there they try to put him at ease. I have been very pleased with the treatment we have had there .

Fantastic experience: I run a local cattery and needed back up from a vet in the event the owner's vets were unavailable, I received excellent service, and would especially like to thank Jade the receptionist who was very helpful and kept in contact both by phone and email. I would also like to thank Emmie for the speed in which she dealt with my enquiry and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services.

Fantastic experience: Our cat lost her back leg the beginning of September.Summer went missing and a friend found her in their garden.She was very lucky because she had lost weight and had a v badly injured back leg.Sadly it was amputated but Summer is making good progress now.Thankyou so much Belmont vets,.you were all brilliant in her recovery..
