Fantastic experience: I have been attending Parkside vets with my dog for 5 years,since he was a 7week old puppy and can only say that the service is excellent as are the Doctors and Staff.

Negative experience: They give you times you have to be there and say you can’t be late then. Make you wait over 25 mins. And don’t tell you anything

Positive experience: Kept waiting for 25 minutes albeit I was 5 mins late but never get taken at appointment time! Other than than service is good and vets friendly but is expensive.

Positive experience: Since 1st puppy Jag, 2006,, to Monday 3rd May 2021, I used Parkside for my dog, (Malamute/Shepherd cross, ).LEO, The care n attention n service,I /we received,was 1st class, from postcard reminders to appointments, nothing was too much ,, Unfortunately I lost Leo last Mon,3rd,May, he had been struggling to rise for a few weeks,and suddenly on Mon, his hind quarters just gave in ..I contacted Parkside, n got appointment within an hour ,, their compassion n professional handling of Leo ,was fantastic, I was with him to the end,and staff were great,, I would recommend Parkside to anyone who has a Pet of any kind ...ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU FOR 15,YEARS OF EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE ....got New puppy now (cavajack), once again Parkside given inoculations, 2nd booster 6/12/24,ALL GOOD ,health check positive ..once again service was really friendly and informative..THANKS..

Negative experience: Most overpriced service on the planet, don't go here unless you have requested a full price list of all services you might require beforehand, treat vets like a garage, they should have a big price list on the wall so we can all prepare ourselves for the total bill. In closing find a vet that doesn't charge the maximum amount possible for everything. Animal health certificate doesn't warrant the disgusting fee charged over 600quid for 3 dogs, for a wee stamped document, enjoy your trip they said lol you've just whopped away months of savings. We're not all on vet wages. Been going for years, never again.

Fantastic experience: I can’t fault the staff here caring for my little daschund Kibo. The vet who I seen on Wednesday evening and then again today on Friday morning was so lovely, kind and informative. She really made a stressful experience so much better. The reception staff, the woman with the red curly hair is so lovely. She is welcoming and warm and really made for her job role. Thank you Parkside vets!! Kibo is lucky to be in your care ❤️

Fantastic experience: Such a good surgery! The staff are so kind ad supportive and they happily discuss any questions or worries you might have. They are so kind and welcoming with our cats too. We have 4 cats, having lost one a few weeks ago and their kindness was very much needed. I thought that being a big, modern vet surgery that their prices would be higher than other surgeries in town, but they are actually cheaper, which, of course we appreciate. Every vet has been lovely with the cats and the cats have been quite relaxed Thank You Everyone At Parkside

Fantastic experience: I've been with these guys for years now and I've never had a problem. Reception is helpful, and the vets are well-informed and professional. Problems and questions are dealt with quickly and efficiently. They have great communication and vets who are well-versed in all sorts of things.

Fantastic experience: It’s got a great car park with plenty spaces, with a green area where you can get dog to wee etc before going in. That is a huge bonus! Staff are friendly, staff on reception are great - very patient, vets explain things well, they listen to you, and you can ask if cheaper meds etc. all vets are expensive so they are no different. End of life care is also very sensitive and thoughtful. The only thing I don’t like is the out of hours care, I’ve had experience of this in the past and found it to be flippant and dismissive when it shouldn’t have been. Day care though I can not fault and I’m very happy with this vet practice

Fantastic experience: I have my horses registered with Parkside, the service and care has been exceptional. One of my horses has been very poorly and has met most of the equine vet team via emergency call out and visits. Shannon picked up on issue, referred on and has helped him get back on his feet. The reception team have also been great.

Fantastic experience: Laura and all of the staff are excellent. . We have 3 bunnies & 4 dogs. Yesterday we had Chloe & Suki in for their annual vaccinations & health check. Parkside vets are extremely experienced with rabbits. All 3 bunnies have been neutered by parkside vets Dundee. We highly recommend Parkside vets. All of the staff are very helpful. 2 of our bunnies are outside and Gus is free roam inside. All 3 of our bunnies are litter trained. For us, it is essential that our bunnies see an experienced bunny vet. Hence we have all 3 bunnies registered at Parkside Vets Dundee. Healthy & happy bunnies

Very helpful and asked me a lot of questions about my wee dog and was happy with everything she seen .She made sure i knew that if i needed any advice they were their to help .. I can't fault them in any way, they care and support is amazing whether it's on the phone or in person.

Negative experience: Dog health certificate. £370 February 2025.9months ago £320. 18 months ago £270. I phoned around and was quoted £270 by another large chain and a good bit less than £200 by a local independent. On top of that they made an error last September which caused a 4 hour hold up at Channel Tunnel. Got an apology but no rebate. ROBBERS. Phone around for prices

Fantastic experience: I have been using Parkside veterinary for years now, and I can honestly say, that they have treated my dogs with great care, also it is not an in and out as quick as possible, the vets take time to explain treatments etc to the full. I would recommend parkside every day of the week

Fantastic experience: I have both my cats registered at Parkside Vets . I have the pet plan for both and am delighted with the package which includes all consultations, health checks all monthly flea and worming treatments , nail clipping all yearly boosters and many other benefits included in this package . I pay only £25 per month per cat, I noticed this has gone up slightly to £27 however a small increase is absolutely well worth the great assistance .I was there just on Fri having a health check and booster for one of my cats and the vet was Fantastic . I will continue with this fantastic package , it is well worth knowing my cats are being well looked after , peace of mind

Negative experience: Parkside vets are good but by God they are not scared to hand you your bill. Nearly £85 for 5 minutes consultation and the smallest plastic bottle of steroid drops for my wee dogs eyes. Pure rip off! However the vets nowadays are all tarred with the same brush. They are all money grabbing gits.

Negative experience: If I could give this vet no stars I would on the 18/12/2023, my house went on fire sadly I lost my dog in the fire. We took our dog to parkside as that’s where he was registered and were asked what kind of cremation we were having, my partner felt put on the spot and was never really explained too about the different kinds of cremations just the different prices. My partner opted for the cheaper one as it was a week before Christmas, no home and 2 young children. We were told our dog wouldn’t be taken anywhere until the Thursday (this was Monday), after a discussion that night I phoned up the vets and stated we had changed our mind and would like a communal cremation, parkside said this was fine and they would let the cremation company know this and we would be invoiced the difference. However my dog was ‘collected’ the next day 19.12.2023 at 04.05. My dog never reached the cremation site, was never on the paper work for the cremation and was not in the freezer at parkside. We constantly got dismissed from parkside and every time we phoned up to speak to practice manage she was never available. So a year on and we have no answers about where our 1year old puppy is and we never ever received him back home. I will never ever in 1 million years use parkside again and would tell anyone to avoid them

Fantastic experience: Visited yesterday with smooch my mums dog. The vet I saw was a lady. She was such a happy cheerful person. Smooch got his yearly injections and a good check al over. It was for both him and I a very happy experience. I wish I stayed closer as I would use this practice myself. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Return customer several times with two dogs. Most recently our chiwawa required dental work due to small teeth. All staff were very kind, educated on issues required, were able to convey issues to us in a non-patronising and understandable manner. They have empathy for animals and humans. Reasonable prices all things considered - I believe anyway. But then all vets are expensive? We've used them for both our two small dogs for a variety of issues, and they are always proficient and efficient in treatment delivery. I will continue to return here. Many thanks to all staff.

Fantastic experience: Parkside vet group, receptionists ,vet nurses, etc. are all very caring towards my pets. I have been coming to Parkside vet for the last 40 years. When Stuart left, I now see vet Fraser, and he cares so much for Daisy and Milo.I am totally satisfied with all the treatments through the years with my dogs.Fraser is a super vet,and obviously loves his job,although a very stressful job,never shows it. I appreciate Parkside vet group very much.

Fantastic experience: I have been brining my Dog (age 5) here since he was a puppy and are members of the pet plan. The vets are always so lovely and reassuring for him. I have never had a bad interaction with anyone. He is wormed monthly and vaccines are all kept up to date with the plan and if I’m worried about him they will get him in to be seen same day and otherwise I’ve never had a problem organising appointments. Vets are really good at keeping him calm and praising him. They clip his nails also (sometimes he doesn’t even notice) as he can be difficult at the groomers. My dog has a chronic skin condition and when finances have been tough they have been amazing at finding cost effective ways to manage this. He has previously had surgery outwith the snip and both went well straight forward. I couldn’t fault them at all on anything. In terms of money wise I totally do recommend the plan. One month is the same price as an appointment but you also get the worming tablets and unlimited pet visits. vaccines covered to. He might have 6 months he doesn’t need to be seen but then 4 visits in a month and a nail clip visits so works out no big surprise costs just to get him checked out.

Fantastic experience: Parkside have looked after our dogs for over 15 years and have been excellent in all aspects of care. The staff are professional but are sympathetic to an owner’s concerns and feelings in difficult times. I would fully recommend Parkside Vets.

Negative experience: I've been with parkside vets for over 20 years and always really good with my animals. My last cat vet checked him over but gut feeling knew it ws his time. She sad after checking him we can do tests but he isnt very well but it's up to you. I knew by my gut and what he was telling me it was time. She said it would be best. Heard alot of not very good stories about parksode but always said no I've always thought they are very good and honest. Eventually got another cat but again I knew by my gut and what he was showing me knew it was time. Went to vet the vet didn't even check him over just looked at him said he isn't very well said we will need to take him in to do blood tests which I thought odd as it clear its his time and my gut feeling which vet would know by the look of him and telling her what he was doing. I did take videos minute he started being ill as my cousin lives in Glasgow she is a vets nurse high sent her and she said it is his time he showing the signs. Hurtful but knew in my gut anyway. I did record the vet appointment as just has feeling I had too and send to my cousin. She said bloods be this much which I kept saying I don't have the money and it was very clear my old cat was at his last. She ignored what I kept saying by don't have the money and cat didn't need to be put through that when he was at his last stage. I came away called my cousin she said he doesn't need to be taken in at all for bloods, his symptoms and signs are all there. But I should have listened to my gut and what he was showing me. 4 days he lasted and had to be put down bill over 400 pound. So the stories I have heard are actually true some nice but alot I keep hearing the same and now it has happened to me and My cat. There is the same pattern happening alot over and over. One ok but multiple the same is clearly a sign of not dedicated vets but get as much money out of you and not listen. Was no need to take bloods from him at all and put him through that what so ever. My cousin showen the videos and the recording of the visit I had to her vet said exact same he didn't need to get bloods done she should have said its his time it was very clear minute I took him in and totally ignore his signs and what I was saying. I'm appalled totally as really thought they weren't actually like that after being with them for many years. This place has change totally not the same as before at all. I will never go back to this place again and my cousin and her vet said if I get another animal don't go back to this place. And I won't. Please listen to your animal and your gut as vet would have known in the first instance of this. Apauled and very disappointed in the poor service which I never thought for a minute after standing up for this place this would actually happen to me. The stories are the same pattern. One yeh OK but multiple no there is def same pattern happen in this place and not very good. Totally shocked and disgusted. Please listen to your gut and your animal with this place. No doubt be the same bad excuse as all have had but there is clearly the same pattern happening so cant use excuses anymore. Happening far too often the same thing to alot of people and there animal.

Fantastic experience: We needed emergency help in the middle of a night. Our only Perth vets that provide this kind of service refused help ,yet Parkside vets were happy to help without even a second of doubt

Fantastic experience: When Gizmo our pug became ill, the team at Parkside Veterinary in Dundee were fantastic. We felt well informed at every step and the vets made time for quick post-surgery follow-ups despite an already busy schedule. You can tell they really care about their work and we highly recommend them.

Negative experience: These people absolutely disgust me. They are obviously only in business to make money and take advantage of people who love their pets. Since when was it ok to charge people hundreds of pounds to spend a few minutes looking at your pet. I know people who have paid thousands recently for things that aren't necessary at all. They should be ashamed.

Positive experience: The staff were caring and concerned and did their best for our little pet , who they made feel special. Thank you all.

Negative experience: Really expensive vets right here, don't offer long term customers payment plans, I'm currently looking around for a vet for my cats that does payment plans.. they quoted me almost 2000£ for my cats dental work, I asked for a payment plan,, we don't do that. That was her answer. Been there for 9 years this will be my last.

Fantastic experience: My dog Misty was referred to Julia Henken by my own vet at Blackness Vets. I could not be more happy with the service I received from Julia. She clearly knows her stuff and was well equipped and thorough. Julia had a lovely manner with Misty, who is not the best patient….Julia made the diagnosis without the need to come back for further tests and prescribed treatment which worked first time. Julia wrote down the diagnosis and treatment plan and also made a plan for what to do if the problem should recur. I would highly recommend Julia on the basis of my experience.

Fantastic experience: Staff are great, really helpful answered all our questions about our new pup and we had lots. Update: our "new pup" is now 7 going on 8 and we still use this vet for everything. The have fixed up a paw that was cut on glass at a beach, acted fast when we thought our boy had come in to contact with blue green algae, and provided countless years of great quality service. We love this place

Negative experience: Incompetent.Cost me £950 for them to tell me my cat had cancer.I told them the symtoms and problems but they insisted on doing a load of test before the one that would have highlighted the Tumour.They know what there doing squeezing as much cash out of you on multiple consultations when it could be resolved in a single visit.Money first Animal care 2nd.

Fantastic experience: I cannot Thank Amy and her Parkside team enough for the amazing care that they provided for our Precious Furry Baby! From our first worrying consultation, through her overnight stay, frequent reviews to our last visit today we were kept updated and reassured throughout! Thanks again Amy without yours and your team’s care, compassion, knowledge and skills we wouldn’t still have our Roxy today! Fantastic experience: I went to this vet for several years with my rats - moved away a few years ago and still think about how great Laura M was with my rats! Really a great place to go if you have small animals and want a vet who will understand they are as important as more traditional pets, fantastic care and at the time I went unreasonably good prices too.

Fantastic experience: I have been to Parkside a couple of times in the past and have always found them to be excellent. Very recently I had an emergency with my sugar glider Gizmo. I called to see if they could help, Melissa on reception (who was lovely) got straight on the case and after speaking to the vets, told me to bring him straight in. Andrew and Amy went above and beyond to help my poor boy and thanks to their quick actions prevented any further damage and saved his life. Cant thank them enough for the excellent care. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Our cat appeared to have something stuck in his throat so I phoned the Barnhill branch. The receptionist said they had no slots free till later in the evening but phoned the Kings Cross branch for me. Headed up there, a very capable and reassuring vet thought maybe our cat had damaged his throat with something, rather than had something lodged in it. Anti-inflammatory injected, sent home to recover. Good call, our buddy seems to be well on the road to recovery. Thanks to all staff.

Negative experience: Dog had an ear infection. 1 "guess" set of ear drops that didn't work (charged for) then took a swab to test and get the correct ones (charged for) then scheduled a check to see if they were working (charged for) then wanted another appointment to make sure they worked. Asked for a written script to get more was told they would phone the next day when it was ready. I phoned them back 5 days later to be told the drops were sitting waiting to be collected. And that i must be mistaken "if id asked for a written script thats what i wouldve got" By that time I'd ran out and needed them. They charge £24.99 for a script which is £13 more than my last vet. I've lost all confidence in them.

Negative experience: They might be good at taking care of pets but they are the absolute worst at appointment management. Be prepared to have to wait at LEAST 20 minutes later than your appointment time. Couple that with people turning up late & still getting seen before you. If they spent less time talking about their weekend plans in the back (where we can all hear by the way) & more time on actually dealing with what they’re meant to be doing then it probably would be a great vets. I turned up this morning to drop my dog off for surgery at 8.30. I was still there at 8.55 & had to leave to take kids to school. This is not an isolated incident. I was in last Friday & waited half hr over my appointment time before I got seen. No way to run a business.
