Our comment from InfoVet about Vets Now Worcester:
Vets Now Worcester is a dedicated emergency veterinary service known for its compassionate care and efficiency in critical situations. Many clients appreciate the immediate attention their pets receive, often highlighting the kindness and professionalism of the staff. Several reviews commend the team for being knowledgeable and for explaining procedures clearly, which helps to ease the worries of pet owners during distressing times.
Positive feedback emphasizes the quick service, with many stating that their pets were seen promptly, and treatment was administered effectively. Additionally, clients have acknowledged the friendliness of the staff at all levels, from receptionists to veterinarians.
However, some users have expressed concerns about the high costs associated with emergency visits, with fees often exceeding £300 before starting treatment. Many suggest that the prices can be excessively inflated, leaving some feeling that the service prioritizes profit over pet care. There are also mentions of challenges in follow-up appointments and inconsistencies in information provided by different staff members.
In conclusion, while Vets Now Worcester offers valuable emergency care with a highly skilled team who genuinely care for animals, potential clients should be prepared for significant costs associated with the service.

Vets Now Worcester: Reviews
Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS VETS. SCAM. Took our kitten to this vets on Sundays, charged us £425 to tell us he seems fine and might be abit dehydrated. And said they will give him some pain relief and fluid under the neck(hence the price). Come to find out after we took him to the vets in the day time a couple days later that they did not even give him the fluids under the neck so we got charged for nothing and they did not tell us that we was meant to be coming back for a follow up on the following Monday. So had to pay again to come back as he was not getting any better. DO NOT USE! SCAM!!
Negative experience: How can a weekend consultation cost almost ten times a weekday one? Answer - rip-off. The sooner vet businesses are legislated to charge fairly the better.
Fantastic experience: Seen immediately when I arrived (granted it was a quiet night). My dog found and ate chocolate cake and I felt awful. The staff were really kind and didn’t make me feel like it was my fault! They were knowledgeable about the breed (naughty dachshund) and explained the procedure in laymen’s terms. Whilst waiting for my dog to have his treatment, they even made me a cup of tea. They all clearly love animals and were brilliant with my Lincoln sausage! Thank you
Fantastic experience: We had to take our cat on a Sunday morning as she had become quite poorly with a recurring bladder issue. Although the cost is high we feel it was worth it as both the vet and the vet nurse were so efficient and reassuring. They’ve also suggested that it may be a different issue causing the problem to what our usual vet says. This is something we will be following up with our vet as everything we were told by vets now makes perfect sense. Thank you again for your care
Fantastic experience: Really good helpful and friendly, super efficient saw my cat immediately :)
Fantastic experience: Our 11 year old was experiencing stomach issues. Easy to book a Sunday emergency appointment. From receptionist to the vet we were reassured and our little dog got the treatment needed. Came home with meds and advice. Our dog has now recovered and eating normally. Thank you
Fantastic experience: We brought our whippet pup to the emergency surgery late at night. The staff were fantastic and he was treated really professionally. Very impressed
Negative experience: The initial consultation went well. The follow up 5 days later was not good. A different vet, with a different agenda. Having not read the case notes before seeing us. He almost immediately shot off down an unrelated track, mentioned MRI scan. Only after my insistence did he read the case notes, and speak with the previous vet, did he realise we were there for follow up blood tests. Then we were told the appointment was too early. The blood test should take place after 3 weeks not 5 days. Seriously not impressed! Hopefully someone in a senior position from V4P will wish to discuss this with us ASAP!
Positive experience: Very expensive, had to get into debt to pay the bill , he was well looked after
Fantastic experience: We went to Vets Now on a weekend evening after our dog was injured by a vehicle. The staff helped immediately and efficiently and took care to keep us informed overnight and to make referral arrangements. We appreciated the expertise and professionalism of all the staff we encountered, and were struck by how kind and thoughtful the receptionists were. Would definitely recommend in an emergency situation.
Positive experience: The veterinarian was brilliant, but so expensive, nearly 330 pounds b4 they even see you, especially if you are not insured, luckily I am. I get that is 24 emergency care but still, absolutely extortionate
Positive experience: The receptionist was very friendly and reassuring when I phoned after our 8 week old pup had a fall and was limping, leaving the decision as to whether we attended up to us which we decided to do for peace of mind. The vet was also very friendly and calming as she checked her out thoroughly, thankfully with no further action necessary. A great service to have although the high cost of the consultation is a stress that many pet owners would struggle with.
Fantastic experience: On Monday 29th December we attended the clinic with our beautiful little Pickle. Pickle sadly died. I have to thank you all for the genuine kindness and care you showed to Pickle and my family. If anyone needs emergency care for their pet I would highly recommend Vets now in Worcester. In the short time we were there you showed Pickle more care and kindness than our own vet had in months . Thank you
Fantastic experience: Came here on a Saturday evening with a poorly kitten suffering from an infection in her spay incision. Vets now were amazing and went above and beyond caring for her for 36 hours , giving me updates throughout the time . Price considering the time and consumables spent was very fair and I would 100% recommend.
Fantastic experience: We were seen swiftly and Dexter was treated whilst being closely monitored by a veterinary nurse.. Once treatment was completed, a Vet explained results of blood test, ongoing medication, and suggested a follow up appointment with our vet in a couple of days.
Fantastic experience: Helpful caring staff. Gizmo has made a full recovery. Thank you all.
Positive experience: Staff very helpful . Costing of individual items was excessive and difficult to avoid as own vets shut for 4 days until monday 29th December.
Hi Teresa, we really appreciate your kind words. We’re glad we could help you and your pet. If you’d like to see a breakdown of our costs, visit: https://www.vets-now.com/2018/01/emergency-vet-costs-prices-fees/.
Fantastic experience: Great attention from all involved. Excellent treatment and communication.
Hi Linda, thanks so much for your positive feedback. We really appreciate it. It’s a pleasure to have helped you and your pet. Have a great day.
Negative experience: Wanted to charge over £400 for a £25 pain killer for my dog. Places like this prey on people whose pets are suffering and overcharge them ridiculously. I should say I’m happy and would expect to pay more for out of hours but this is not that. This is not care it’s profiting off peoples misery and their pets pain.
Fantastic experience: Great emergency care from Vets Now in Worcester. Had to wait a while as you'd expect with an emergency clinic, but impressed with the service. Thanks.
Hi Chris, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re so glad you were happy with the service provided by our team. Have a lovely day.
Fantastic experience: Visited this practice on Sunday evening in Out of Hours service, for an emergency. It was a huge relief to be ushered straight through despite other less urgent cases waiting. The care was calm, professional and compassionate.
Fantastic experience: Really kind, explained everything, kept us updated. Looked after our puppy and made her better. Thank you Vets Now Worcester
Hi Zoe, thanks so much for your positive feedback. We really appreciate it. It’s a pleasure to have helped you and your pet. Have a great day.
Fantastic experience: Amazing level of care and the Vet was so kind! Made a stressful situation a lot better for both me and my dog. Thank you.
Hi Abbeigh, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re glad we could help you and your dog. Have a lovely day.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic service - the whole team did a great job
Fantastic experience: Wonderful. From Receptionist to Vet they couldn’t have been kinder or more thorough. Yes, very expensive but so reassuring to get problem sorted than sitting at home worrying. Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic experience: This is our out of hours Emergency vets that we have never had to use until last Saturday evening. When we arrived we greeted with a very smiley and calm receptionist which calmed me down a bit as I was extremely worried about my dog. We only had to wait a few minutes before we saw the vet who was also amazing and extremely calm. She took some notes and then did a very thorough examination on our dog. Once the vet had finished examining our dog she talked us through what she thought it could be. We went away feeling a lot happier and my dog has made a full recovery. I would most definitely recommend this vets practice.
Fantastic experience: Excellent, compasionate service. Had to leave our 10 year spaniel over night for treatment, this was obviously upsetting for us. The vet was so lovely she even took the time to send us a text just after midnight with an update on her condition. Such lovely considerate staff Thank you to you all Amber & Family Xx
Fantastic experience: Eye-wateringly expensive (for good reason) but top quality care and a seamless integration with regular vets and insurers. I fully understand the massive costs that running an out of hours service must incurr so Its not a complaint that its epxpensive, just a warning to people to get their pets insured! From the first phone call until themoment we collected our dog, the staff were excellent and obviously care deeply for the animals and the 'system' worked flawlessly every step of the way. Potentially so much could have gone wrong with the need to handover care part way through treatment but instead it went smoothly.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly experience and saw my cat on short notice on a Sunday.
Negative experience: Border collie with a small but deep cut. Charged £500 for antibiotic and pain injection with no treatment or dressing. Brought antibacterial vetinary wound care next day from amazon for £6.99 healed in 2days! Not everyone has insurance and vets should not charge such crazy fees on the assumption that money is no object If home treatment, or no treatment, is suitable an owner should be so advised.
Fantastic experience: Super friendly and a detailed guide on my budgies health and care
Fantastic experience: Very efficient and knowledgeable. Saw our dog quickly and everyone was so nice and friendly
Fantastic experience: Saved my dogs life x . Within 30 mins of my call . They took my boy into xray. Diagnosed and under the knife . The wonderful vet and the amazing staff kept us calm. . Thank you
Fantastic experience: Late on a Friday evening we discovered our cat unhappy and growling and found that she'd got a badly broken leg. Having called our regular vet we were automatically transferred to Vets Now who answered immediately and made an appointment within half an hour. They looked after our cat over the weekend and administered pain relief and monitored her until she could be referred to a specialist vetinary surgeon. Service was excellent, but let's just say I'm glad we have insurance.
Fantastic experience: Our second time of using Vets Now in Worcester, and yet again we received first class care from a team who are not only most knowledgeable, they’re also so very caring too, obviously a middle of the night emergency is never going to be cheap, but when your fur baby is in need of medical attention you want the best help and support available whatever the cost, and here it is right here. Thank you again for your amazing and swift care.
Negative experience: I have nothing good to advise about my pets treatment on Thursday. When I arrived I was told the vet was in surgery. Therefore I had to wait. After at least half an hour I had to ask for a drink, it wasn't offered. After seeing the vet I agreed to sign a consent form however I noted that no one had explained the tick boxes. At all times the receptionist pushed for me to pay. I have since received 3 emails and a phone call this morning that woke me. Again at no point did he ask how my pet was it was all about money. So callous for a company that is supposed to care for pets and thier owners. I have already explained that I am disabled and I live on benefits so I am hoping you will reduce the bill as you should for pensioners also. I am also sharing this with the CMA. Kind regards Mrs Moira Groves
Fantastic experience: The process of booking in was easy, from initial phone call to arrival. I received a friendly and understanding welcome and was quickly seen by the vet. My dog left having been treated and I was much happier.
Negative experience: Clean environment but very long wait for emergency vets. Very very expensive not at all value for money. Staff were nice and caring but then again they should be for what they charge
Positive experience: Vet and nurse really helpful and supportive. We felt the vet was very knowledgeable and gave accurate and useful advice. They got us a prompt appointment and communicated well.Would have given 5 stars but the claims department are difficult to get hold of and haven't responded promptly to our pet insurance company. In fact the company is holding up our claim.
Negative experience: Woyld give zero stars if i could.Emergency visit which was extortionate and didn't help my cat. Nearly £500 for a 15 min check whuch caused my cat pain and distress and didnt help her. Huge stress for us and our cat for nothing as our cat died the next day. We attended at nearly midnight but we were still kept waiting for 40 minutes even though it was deserted. Cat couldn't breathe but vet did not even suggest oxygen for her. Vet said there was nothing they could do and it wasn't worth her staying but then made me sign a form to say her going home was against advice. My vet the next day immediately put her on oxygen.
Hi, thanks for sharing your experience at Vets Now Worcester pet emergency service. What you’ve described sounds very unusual and we’d really like the opportunity to look into this further for you. Would you like to discuss this case further with a member of our team? If so, please email us on [email protected], indicating which clinic you attended, your pet’s name and the first line of your home address.
Negative experience: Our cat tink was hit by a car and vets now saw her straight away, immediately we were told it would cost us over £300, we were then told a further £1800 would be payable. Whilst my partner and I were distraught trying to work out what to do another vet came out and explained to us that it would be £700 overnight to keep her comfortable and then we could take her to our own vets! I just find it very distressing in an already stressful situation how the figures could change so dramatically. Unfortunately another £350 later and out beautiful cat had to be put to sleep. All in all, people were friendly but I wouldn't recommend as I felt we were being ripped off initially
Fantastic experience: Needed to visit vets now at midnight on a Saturday. The staff were superb. Victoria was calm, patient and wonderful. Taylor our husky passed peacefully with dignity and care. Thank you for looking after us the way you did. X
Negative experience: Very frustrating visit to an emergency appointment for our cat. We suspected she had eaten/ licked something, relayed this on the phone and were told to go straight to the clinic. We were kept waiting over 4 hours before we were even triaged. Yet there were multiple dogs going in with the exact same problem who were seen almost immediately. However once seen the care was great. Not very good emergency care for cats it seems.
Fantastic experience: Attended as an out of hours appointment. Service was brilliant, receptionist Angela was so friendly and helpful and Vet Helen was brilliant with my wriggly Spaniel. Over-all, a really positive experience.
Hi Sarah, we really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Our team are all passionate about pets and their welfare. They’ll be thrilled to hear you were so happy with their service.
Fantastic experience: Very efficient service from vet who saw our cat during a very traumatic experience and the nurses on reception were excellent.
Fantastic experience: Excellent caring and prompt care for our dog. Understanding of his 'needy' temperament by all the staff at Worcester. Thank you
Negative experience: This has one star because there is no option to give it zero stars. We had the worst treatment last night at Vets Now in Worcester. We arrived at midnight for an emergency and we never got to see an actual vet. We were told by a nurse that they would give some form of treatment (ointment) but nothing was given to our dog who was also in pain. The vet came out twice and both times ignored us as if we didn't exist! Unacceptable behaviour from someone who should be a professional. An acknowledgement and a brief time scale would have been appreciated but we got nothing. Not from the vet or the nurse. We eventually asked to be let out as it was clear we were not a priority. The doors were locked, understandable at that time of night, and the nurse developed a really odd attitude to our request and would not open the doors. She said that the vet was busy with an emergency (which we understand) but we were also there in the middle of the night with an emergency!! She then became quite facetious, and just kept saying 'bye, 'bye, 'bye when she eventually opened the doors. Disgusting behaviour, service and attitude from both the nurse and the vet. We were worried about our dog and they made the situation worse, treated us like an annoyance and then the nurse held us hostage as if she was all powerful. Disgusting!
Fantastic experience: Took my rabbit last night, and we were seen quickly and a very efficient check up and advice given and explained throughly by the lovely vet, along with the other friendly staff I spoke to, their and on the phone. Thank you very much for looking after my girl!
Negative experience: Poor service!! Advertises as a 24/7 service in Worcester but far from the truth. Called Saturday evening and was told to travel to Birmingham as Worcester clinic was closed, which wasn’t possible. Called back multiple times during the night and next day following advice from call operator, as they were unsure why the veterinary practice had closed and may reopen. Every time I called back they had no update and weren’t sure when and if they would reopen over the weekend. When calling at 14:30hrs Sunday, I was told they had reopened earlier that afternoon but they hadn’t bothered to call and let us know. Infuriating! £336 to walk through the door and for a “consultation” lasting less than 5 minutes with the vet. Paid £144 for anti-sickness injection, paracetamol with codeine - which our vet said shouldn’t have been prescribed as worsened the condition, and tube of Promax. All of which had £20-£25 fee added to each drug for vet to prescribe. Nurse very poorly administered anti sickness injection (not vet), was nervous and incompetent in doing so, causing immense distress and discomfort as she kept flinching, whilst vet stood at reception talking. £480 later and we still had to return to our vet’s the following day for treatment from a vet that had more than 5 minutes to spare. Re. Closure: We were informed by receptionist when entering that they had closed the night before as they didn’t have a nurse onsite for emergency patients. For a service charging £336 to walk through the door and for 5 minutes max with a vet, you would expect they would have the capabilities to manage staffing levels appropriately and provide a high level of care. Having no on-call staff as backup is inexcusable and even more frustrating when every veterinary practice in Worcestershire has Vets Now as their out of hours service provider, leaving no other option for emergency care. These large corporate entities acquiring independent vets are piss poor - raising prices and lowering the standard of care. With no other option for out of hours veterinary care in Worcestershire, good luck to anyone that needs to use this service in an emergency!
Fantastic experience: Excellent, all staff so reassuring and helpful. Dog was looked after very well, we were kept informed and given appropriate advice
Fantastic experience: We had a lovely experience! The place was very clean and air conditioned, which helped my cat cool down after a very hot day. The vet was very kind and thorough and explained very well what might be going on with my cat. We were seen promptly and all the staff were very welcoming and friendly
Hi Savannah, we really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Our team are all passionate about pets and their welfare. They’ll be thrilled to hear you were so happy with their service.
Fantastic experience: Relatively inexpensive puppy has just become a very expensive one, but emergency treatment was first class. Assesment was honest and potential issues covered off, subsequent calls much more positive. Puppy doing very well.
Hi Stuart, we really appreciate your kind words.
Positive experience: Can't fault the veterinary service. Friendly, professional and compassionate towards my dog. Would have liked to give 5 stars but the expense of the service stopped me
Fantastic experience: Having had to make an emergency appointment because one of our dogs had picked up a discarded vape cartridge from a grassy public area, he was seen by a vet at 9.30pm and given an emetic injection. This released the offending item and we were able to bring him away by 1015pm - a great relief for all. Many thanks to Vets Now at the Severn Practice.
Fantastic experience: Yesterday evening we brought our dog to the clinic with a twisted stomach (GDV). Unfortunately, it was already too late, and the surgery would have been very expensive. The vet kindly advised us to let him go, considering his age and condition. It was an incredibly hard decision for both me and my partner. Our dog was like a child to us — we loved him deeply. The vet was incredibly compassionate and even reduced the fees by almost half when she saw how much we loved him and how heartbroken we were. It was one of the hardest moments in our lives, but the staff were so kind, understanding, and respectful. I cannot say a single bad word about this veterinary clinic. The vet was like an angel — she truly tried to help us and supported us with empathy and care. She understood how difficult this decision was. We are deeply grateful — thank you for being there for us in such a painful moment.
Negative experience: Charges were excessive. I know the company will argue that it is expensive to run an out of hours service but I feel as though they have cornered the market for OOH care and so can overcharge. I do not query the charge for the anti emetic medication that was administered to my dog. I do query that next to the injection there was a further charge, listed simply as a “fee”. This, on top of the £350 +, for a consultation that took fewer than 10 minutes. The upshot of that consultation was that we should keep an eye on the dog and take her to our vet first thing on Monday.
Hi Jane, I know it can be frustrating having to pay for an unplanned trip to the vets. Much like it is for other out-of-hours services in other industries, It's more expensive to run an out-of-hours pet emergency service than a general daytime practice. We've broken down where our costs go here if you'd like to find out more: https://www.vets-now.com/2018/01/emergency-vet-costs-prices-fees/.

Fantastic experience: We had to come to vets now for an urgent appointment for our dog. Everyone we were involved with was lovely. Our dog was seen promptly. Tests completed and results back within an hour or so. Meds given. Dog made a full recovery. Claim in currently with insurers. All great.
Negative experience: We came in with a dog in the process of giving birth. The vet scanned and found a puppy that we delivered. He then rescanned and found one more, which was also delivered. Vet the failed to rescan, which I have subsequently found out he should have. There were still two puppies inside. At 11am we realized they had missed a puppy so my dog had to be rushed into an emergency (yet completely avoidable) C-section. Because if the huge delay, the puppy had unfortunately died. Terrible experience
Positive experience: Very good service but well over priced. Took my cat in with a suspected knife wound ,they told me she needed stitches which I knew already . Charged me over 300pounds for consultation. Medication ,anasetic and stitches cost me 956 pounds . They are a rip off . Absolutely disgusting prices they charge . They play on people cos they know you are very upset and desperate for your animal to be seen and treated. It's just a business. They don't care about your pet because if you didn't have the money to pay ,they would not help the animal. Mr and Mrs Croton.
Hi there, thanks for your feedback on the cost of our service. As you may be aware, it’s a lot more expensive to run an after-hours emergency vet service. The greater running costs we incur are reflected in our prices. If you’d like to read more about our running costs, prices and where our profits go, please visit: https://www.vets-now.com/2018/01/emergency-vet-costs-prices-fees/
Positive experience: We took our cat there earlier this week and we were seen very quickly which was great. However, the consultation fees are incredibly high for what turned out to be a five minute consultation and some antibiotics. The vet was also a little bit brusque - told us that it might be an abscess but then again it could be something worse: totally understand that they have to manage expectations and not make false promises but feel this could have been done slightly more tactfully! Our cat has since been seen by our usual vet and is on the mend so fingers crossed! Lady on reception also nice enough but as it was her first night she couldn’t provide much advice regarding insurance claim. Again we have sorted this now but it has highlighted that when it comes to emergency care you need to be ready to pay out a lot of money for even the most basic of treatments.
Fantastic experience: Excellent out of hours service - very understanding and amenable, they did the best for our Skye and she’s much healthier and happier now - thank you!
Positive experience: My young dog swallowed a stone late one evening. Our vets was closed and we were directed to VersNow in Worcester. The treatment went well and we were advised to pay half of the fee now (£250) and the remainder in a few days, which we did. Meanwhile, we submitted our claim to our insurance provider. A few days later I was called by a representative of vets now claiming that I owed them £35 as an admin fee. I had done all the admin. Payed £500+ in fees already. It felt like adding insult to injury! Now after disputing the money grabbing nature of their ‘admin’ charge, I received yet another threatening letter from them. If you need to add in extra cost for the hell if it, at least inform us of it at the time, or add it in to your already excruciatingly high cost. I feel totally aggrieved about this additional and unexpected cost. It’s like me charging them £35 for opening their threatening letter. Disgraceful. I have now payed the additional cost but will do anything to avoid their unnecessary charging strategy from now on. By the way, I picked up a leaflet in the surgery and in tiny print on the leaflet, it mentioned an admin fee of £25 may be added. So the fee has increased by 40% since that leaflet was printed. Just a touch over the cost of inflation. It’s just money grabbing.
Fantastic experience: The dedication and ability of the OOH staff at Vets-Now is second to none. It is nothing short of a first class service. The speed and skill and level of care for our pet on Saturday and Sunday am was exemplary. We want to thank all the staff at our amazing OOH service for being there for us and with us.
Hi Catherine , I’m so happy we could be there for you and that we were able to help your pet. Take care and have a good day
Negative experience: Took my 5 month old cocker puppy to see the emergency vet, as he had swallowed something and was coughing harshly. The vet looked in his mouth and prescribed anti-inflamitories, and sent us on our way. 5 days later and medicine finished, my poor boy is still coughing as if he is going to be sick. I feel he was not examined thoroughly and a quick diagnosis was made. I will be seeing my own vet tomorrow. The prices to see a vet is horrendous in the emergency surgery, £337 before even getting through the door, how can they justify the price , us pet owners pay because we love our pets,

Fantastic experience: We had to take our 9 month old dog as he’d eaten a large amount of our other dogs heart medication the service we received was excellent nurses and vets all lovely and kept us well informed and he had an overnight stay . The only thing negative is the pricing £1284 I know these services are going to be expensive out of hrs but feel they are very inflated and as pet owners we have no choice then on going to my own vets on same day as advised I had another bill of £128 because they didn’t know if a tox screen had been done as information had not been emailed to practice .
Hello, thank you; we appreciate your feedback!
Negative experience: The care given was great. But general price was awful. We had a bill of £761, we were there with our dog for all of an hour, she had bloods (which we were charged for the test, but also a hospital admission fee) and everything came back clear. £336 to be seen in emergency, understandable. Very high costs of products/medication. Charged £50 for something that can be bought at pets at home for less than £10, we did not realise this until after. Very disappointing that this is what we have to pay when our pets are poorly. This is a huge amount of money for anybody.

Fantastic experience: We booked our Cat in here last week for emergency treatment and received excellent service. Our Cat was struggling to breathe and without there help I do not think she would be with us now. The Vet and staff on site were all amazing I wish I had got names! It was extremely busy but that didn't effect the treatment we received and what I thought was at a very reasonable cost
Hi Richard, we work hard to ensure every client’s experience is second-to-none and we’re glad to hear you found this to be the case.
Fantastic experience: I received excellent and sympathetic care for my dog and myself. Can’t praise them enough! Top rate treatment and my dog is so much better just one day later. Well done and than you.
Hi Jan, thanks so much for your lovely feedback, it’s great to hear our team were able to help and that your pet is doing well.
Negative experience: Took my dog Bonnie as she had a large open wound on her neck and it was bleeding. Charged me £337.00 and did exactly nothing. They looked and said take her to your vets tomorrow. She did get 3 gravy bones so they were £112.33 each. They didn’t seem to care at all. Grab the money and run
Fantastic experience: The best vet ever . We have 11 dogs and in all our years of having dogs Carl,Jessica and Dan are the most caring vets ever. They really respect your wishes as an owner . Finding My Home Pet Vet was the jetën in the crown.
Fantastic experience: Very quick and efficient. Put my mind at ease and gave my dog the medication he needed. 24 hours and he’s back to normal.
Fantastic experience: Very attentive vet, i was seen shortly after arrival.Every part of the examination was explained to.me .On collection the next morning alk was explained as to how my dog was looked after and everything was explained. I was shown the Scans that she had and the next steps for ongoing treatment and care were explained.
Fantastic experience: At 3.30 this morning I rang vets now as my old dog was very poorly and spoke to the vet there who quickly diagnosed vestibular disease from the symptoms. She was brilliant and gave me really good advice on what to do knowing that the half hour trip in would be quite traumatic for us all and that there wasn’t anything that needed urgently doing. I kept my dog calm and comfortable as she suggested until my own vets practiced opened for further advice. Well done Vets Now proving that they put the animal’s welfare first before making a quick buck!
Hi Susie, we work hard to ensure every client’s experience is second-to-none and we’re glad to hear you found this to be the case.
Negative experience: Only putting 1 star as the vet that euthanised my dog was actually really empathetic. However the experience was horrible. 3 staff in the building and all was their first day! Before they saw my dog the receptionist took my details 4 times as couldn’t figure out how to save the data which took all of 1hour to be seen. I was told 2 vets were on shift so would be seen quickly as no other animals to be seen in the building…yet couldn’t see me until they figured out how to save my details which is absolutely ridiculous, they ended up writing it down on a piece of paper which was just left on the front desk. Receptionist absolutely useless but was given no support so I do feel sorry for her. And the vet nurses and vets couldn’t help her as their first days to. Whole system just in pieces. How can you even trust these people when they don’t even know how to take a telephone number and address.
Fantastic experience: Professional and caring, the perfect canine port in a gastronomic storm. I have never been so happy to have a Black Labrador throw up in the back of my car. All now well, our gratitude immense.
Negative experience: It's all about money! £386 total charged, gave an anti sickness injection when my dog wasn't being sick. Did nothing, gave wrong opinion on diagnosis, said was having a stroke but turns out to be seizures. Was there 10 mins and cost near on £400, preying on pet owners for money is all its about for these people, you cannot justify such money for a 10 min visit and misdiagnosed and given an injection that wasn't needed but was prob just to bump the cost up. Disgusting.
Fantastic experience: My phone call was dealt with quickly & arranged my immediate visit for emergency help for my pet. The wait there did not ake long. The lady vet was understanding, kind and caring. She treated my cat and I felt very reassured by her comments. I recommend Vets Now for their help and understanding.
Negative experience: In my opinion the Vets Now service is tantamount to racketeering. They prey on the desperation of pet owners, its maximum profit over compassion. Just for a short consultation for a poorly cat they wanted £336 + extra fees. Why Worcester veterinary practices cannot get together and create a rotating out of hours emergency service is beyond me? It's just seems easier to farm out the service to these bandits, and yes, that is what they are. Pet owners are being monumentally ripped off. Vets Now made £15 million operating profit on a turnover of £114 million in 2023... Disgusting
Negative experience: DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! I would give no stars if i could. My cat was hit by a car and they examined my cat within two minutes and told me it was muscle damage to his leg. Sent me away with painkillers that were not strong enough with the wrong leaflet and charged £320 for out of hours fees when the average for the area is £250. After taking my cat to another vet a couple of days later as he was deteriorating i found out he has a broken pelvis, a fractured sternum and a dislodged spine. The vets at this practice are only out for money and not caring about the animals. My cat was left in agony for two days due to their veterinary malpractice. I am reporting them to the Royal College of Veterinary Schools for professional misconduct. Avoid at all costs!
Fantastic experience: I attended the clinic with my dog and was seen quickly after only a short wait. The vet was professional, yet had a pleasant demeanour. The result was an injection, medicine and a recommendation for further action with my vets. The receptionist was pleasant and very helpful throughout.
Fantastic experience: What a beautiful lot of people, my poor boy felt so poorly, and they acted all in his best interest, they gave me options, they kept me informed all the time, I was confident they did all they could for him, he is now almost back to his usual chaotic self… thank you for caring for him and for caring about me as his momma too… Barnie aged 1 sends big kisses xx
Fantastic experience: Excellent OOH practice. Vet was wonderful to provide intervention based on my dogs needs and budget. My dog has since had a surgery and is doing well. Thank you so much.
Fantastic experience: Whilst on holiday our dog fell ill and we needed to find an out of hours emergency vet. Thankfully Severn Veterinary Centre were able to help and provided emergency treatment, overnight care and meds to help our dog and get us home with her. The Vet who treated her was brilliant, and the staff were very kind and supportive whilst we waited there late at night. Cannot thank them enough.
Negative experience: I lost my best friend here, my beautiful collie. I will never know if she could've been saved and survived, or not, money driven services. Costs in extreme of two thousand pounds, or Euthanasia for almost £800. Heart broken. Lost her name tags. Charged me incorrectly, then sent an additional bill of nearly £80 for oxygen. Where are her names tags which are an invaluable sentimental value to me. Perhaps you can use the extra money to buy a locker to save these precious keepsakes for those of us who have lost our beloved best friends. Are the vets here fully qualified or fresh put of school. I don't think they had a clue with my baby. Just had a response from the owner too. To say They are sorry to hear about my experience. Not my loss. Says it all.

Fantastic experience: After the most horrific dog walk of my life the care and treatment my dog received was absolutely brilliant. The vet was so kind, understanding and reassuring. She was thorough in her assessment of my dog and answered my million questions with extreme patience and knowledge
Positive experience: The treatment by the vet and vet nurse was good, the surgery was easy to find, pleasant and had free parking. My criticism is actually of the Vets Now phone service. The 1st person I spoke to was very unhelpful and kept trying to get me to go to a clinic 50 miles away. He told me they did have a clinic 20 minutes from me but it was closed. He suggested I tried to find somewhere closer myself and ring back if I couldn't find anywhere. I called back 20 minutes later, spoke to someone else, who got us in at the clinic I was told was closed. It was also £350 just to get through the door.
Fantastic experience: Amazing out of hours vets. My 7 month old mini dachshund pup managed to eat raisins at a party and they saw him straight away. So empathetic and compassionate - thank you for putting an incredibly worried dog mama at ease!
Fantastic experience: The vets are amazing they saved my dogs life,Bella was pregnant and all though it was a difficult OP for them,Bella is alive and I can’t fault them, the knowledge and support given was outstanding,I’d like to thank the Vets on Saturday and early hours Sunday morning who looked after her, I can’t remember their names but amazing Vets both of them.
Positive experience: Very helpful and warm welcome. Nothing anyone can do about the long wait!
Fantastic experience: Presented with an emergency bladder stones blocking the urethra. Excellent care. They thought about not adding to our bill all the way. Kept us informed. Good communication.
Fantastic experience: This was the first time we had been to this vets are we were referred to them by a local vets mainly because they did over night care I can say from the start the people we dealt with all were helpful and the vet was very good caring and informative with as much detail and information about different approaches of care and was very caring towards are cat it was cats last few hours of life sadly but we were prepared to find out what was wrong with are cat as she was part of are family and not just an accessory I can say from are first experience I would be happy to go back if needed
Fantastic experience: Excellent service at short notice when my dog was taken unwell suddenly. Really thorough and very helpful. Easy access and parking available. Would recommend.
Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with the care provided to Widget this past weekend when she was rushed in with gastro and dehydration, keeping her in overnight. The customer service from placing a call was excellent. Cannot fault them in any way. Thanks team. I do have to say I'm very grateful I've got insurance. Never had it before, but won't be without it again due to extreme prices (but this is sadly all OOH vets).
Fantastic experience: Excellent and immediate service. Gim Ng was calm, professional and extremely reassuring that nothing sinister was going on. Drugs prescribed and dog was literally back to her old self by the end of the following day. Would be very happy to use again.
Positive experience: Very friendly staff Very happy with the consultation and care Worried by the pre treatment fee of over £300. I feel a lot of pets will suffer as a result of this out of hours extra cost. Surely this could be less expensive?
Hi Jane, we really appreciate your kind words. We’re glad we could help you and your pet. If you’d like to see a breakdown of our costs, visit: https://www.vets-now.com/2018/01/emergency-vet-costs-prices-fees/.
Fantastic experience: Phoned through and our nearest was 20 minutes away. We were able to park easily and did not have to wait long to be seen but only 1 person waiting before us. Vet was very thorough and gave us medication to resolve. Easy process.
Negative experience: Whilst I appreciate the care given whilst in an emergency situation, I too experienced prices as below. Thats part of emergency so that I'm content with. What I am appalled at is the disgusting parking charge I got for being there for nearly 3 hours due to waiting times and also the lack of front of house staff. I waited 10 mins to be let in (albeit by a member of the public at the back door!), another 20 odd minutes to be checked in after standing waiting. then 40 minutes to part with the money at the end. I wrote to the practice a week ago to discard the penalty charge but no response and forced to pay another £60 on top of a very expensive weekend. If you had a front of house staff or a CLEAR piece of communication about car parking amongst the 200 posters to prevent this I would have.
Negative experience: Really disappointing experience that left me feeling frustrated that no care had been provided for my pet. We got in and were seen quickly which I was grateful for as my cat had ripped a large hole in the underside of his chin. The vet took his temperature and just told me I should take him to my vets the next day. They did provide antibiotics despite me making them aware that he had had a long lasting antibiotic 2 days earlier. For this they charged £377. I had to ask for them to clean the wound which they said they would do and took my cat off but bought him back less than 3 minutes later and said they couldn’t do it because they had no saline?!! I also had to ask several times for something to protect the wound to stop my cat making it bigger by scratching until i could get him to my vet next day, and was eventually told they didn’t have any bandages. What kind of veterinary service is being offered at a location with no bandages or saline, I’m unsure. I absolutely would never recommend this service to anybody who is looking for care for their pet out of hours.
Fantastic experience: I had a great experience in what was a horrible evening. The staff were caring; kept me updated, advised on the best care and treated my baby boy with care and compassion. I would highly recommend this service. I've actually used this vets as an out of hours twice and both times have had a great experience
Fantastic experience: Your pet being unwell is a worrying time but we were put at our ease by the friendly welcome we received from the staff. Details were taken of what was happening with our pet and she was quickly seen by a vet. Everything was relaxed with no drama. At the end of the visit we were given medication for our pet and an explanation given as to how to deal with the insurance matter. We left feeling much less worried. All in all a good experience
