Negative experience: Hi I’m putting a complaint in against Kevin the vet he put my dog to sleep today as was waiting in the room with the dog and the vet Kevin doing nothing but slag the dog off saying bring the pitbull back xl bully’s are the worst dogs they won’t last long etc etc then when that dog was finally put to sleep he was still slagging the dog off worst experience I have ever had and I will not be returning to this vets

Fantastic experience: I have been taking my pooches to vfp for a few years and love the relatively new site building. Bright and airy with plenty of seating and space while you wait. Staff are lovely and so helpful. The vet we have is lovely, down to earth and has a good sense of humour, which helps as sometimes I get more nervous than the dogs. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Also if you want to do a bit shopping, it’s on a retail park. I always stock up at the M & S. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: The visit was very emotional for me as I had to say goodbye to me beloved cat Felix. He was a rescue cat, I had him for few years now. It's always hard to say goodbye but the team there was brilliant. Helping me to say goodbye to my Felix.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are amazing, always very friendly and helpful. Both my spaniels have been going here for over 10 years, and I couldn't fault the service, the expertise, and the price. I've just been today with a new kitten for her first visit and injections. The receptionists were very good, and got me all the information I needed about their pet plans, helped me sign up and complete the forms. Kevin, as always, was very good and gave the kitten a good checkup and her injections.

Fantastic experience: I cannot praise Vets for Pets Durham enough! We have been coming here for over 20 years and have always received excellent care. Kevin and Aitor are both super, and Richard is simply amazing. As owners of two dogs and three cats, our pets' welfare is our top priority. We have always felt that the team respects this without ever taking advantage of us. They do exactly what is necessary and frequently go the extra mile emotionally, without pushing unnecessary treatments or consultations. Their charges are very, very reasonable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for honest, compassionate care

Negative experience: We requested a QUALITY OF LIFE CHECK for our cat, who is approaching the end of his life following a cancer diagnosis. The vets arrived at our home before I did, where my wife was waiting. They took our cat into a separate room and handed my wife a piece of paper asking for a signature. I arrived around this time, and my wife and I read the form together, it was a EUTHANASIA consent form something we absolutely did not request or agree to. I immediately went into the room to ask what was going on and why there was already a cannula in his leg. The vet said it was to take vitals and be “ready for injection.” After making it clear that we did not want an at-home euthanasia at that point, we discussed his condition while our cat was limping around with a cannula still in his leg. During this, the vet actually laughed and said, "awww we broke his leg,” while our cat was visibly struggling. When they left, the last thing they said was that we could arrange payment by phone. Heartless, incompetent, and utterly unacceptable behaviour at the worst possible moment.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful vets, very knowledgeable and calming in a crisis. Beth & Kevin are phenomenal to deal with. The reception staff are so friendly and helpful, particularly the younger lad with dark hair.

Fantastic experience: I dropped off a dog I found today in Durham City Centre, after calling around other places to help I decided to just put him in my car and drive to the nearest vets hoping someone could help as we were right near the main road and he was a big dog, he had no collar or leader and we had been told by other places it was being treated as an emergency and they’d be with us in 10 minutes but no one came to help us. Even though I was really panicked, the receptionist at Vets for Pets was so helpful and lovely, she came with me to get him from my car and was really good and gentle with him knowing he was scared and was struggling to get out of my car. I called later in the day to check on him and again was just reassured the whole time by staff who were so caring and helpful. I really can’t thank the receptionist enough for helping, after such a traumatic event seeing him running around the main road and no one willing to help, I am so thankful for how kind and understanding you were.

Fantastic experience: My aging greyhound Maisie has had a lot of visits to Vets for Pets recently and each and every time we've attended, not only could I arrange a convenient appointment, the vets we have seen have been superb in their care and knowledge. I can't recommend them enough.

Negative experience: Took my senior cat of 18 years to be put to sleep after her quality of life was now none existent and I didn't want her to suffer. She had lost all her weight as senior cats do and as I result I had told them that they wouldn't be able to do a canula. But they insisted on trying.... she got so stressed and panicked that while they had her away from us trying for this canula. She literally was stressed to death. She came back in the vets arms and had clearly passed away by time she was put on the table. This was heartbreaking because we were not there and the reason we brought her was because we didn't want her to suffer. even though she was not given the medication to stop her heart and put her to sleep peacefully we were still charged the 87.50.... to sum up the charge. That charge was for them to shave her paw.... nothing else was done by them.

Fantastic experience: Great vets, very helpful, so caring. Richard always makes the time for any worries I might have. George even likes him - which is surprising since he doesn't seem to like the vets. . Thanks for taking care of George.

Fantastic experience: Very caring place. Unfortunately we had to have our dog Roxy put to sleep as she was very poorly which as everyone knows is heart breaking. The staff were very caring and we thank them.

Alec Mav Posted on Google 11 months ago

Negative experience: This company exists for profit and profit alone. There doesn't seem to be any care for the animals. £50 for a consultation which consists of one question being asked isn't good business practice. £100 to put one lot of drops in an animals ear. Avoid this place at all costs if you can.

Fantastic experience: Just moved to the area and my cat had an injury so firstly they were able to accommodate being seen on short notice for a new customer. They also adapted to suit my cat as he gets anxiety going in his cat box. They staff on the front desk were extremely welcoming, polite and friendly. Both entering and exiting. The vet was phenomenal. My cat has seen a lot of vets and the one he saw today was by far the best vet I've ever had the pleasure of taking the cat to. He listened, understood, was friendly, got me involved with decision making, explained everything and made the cat feel at ease. Also, he allowed the option of further treatment to be done over the phone due to the cats anxiety, (obviously this wouldn't be available for all conditions/pets). Again, putting the cats needs first. I just can't big the vet up enough. Thank you! Overall, the place was clean, tidy, with a great atmosphere and I will 100% be taking the cat back in future.

Negative experience: Please do not take your dog to this vets, my dog has been seen twice now. Took my dog with a yeast infection, was prescribed only anti fungal and steroids.told to change her food to grain free. Took her back after course had finished and I was told she should have had anti biotics, so she was prescribed anti biotics and steroids and anti fungal. I emailed and asked why she can’t just be given another course without yet another consultation, as it’s the same illness. I was told ‘you were told it was a life long infection, and you refused to come to your second appointment’ if you had come to your second appointment we would have set up life long drugs.’ I’ve never been informed a yeast infection was a life long illness! At the second appointment I was given antibiotics along with same meds…and no life long drugs were arranged for her. When I clarified this with them I was told ‘I’m not discussing this any further, either make her another appointment or find another vet’ and this was by one of the partners. I am not consulting another vet and discussing that how she is presenting and she is so miserable if I’m actually hurting her keeping her here, because I love her so much, and she she would be better let go! Please read the reviews, this vets is purely a profit making business and has no interest in the care of your loved one! So many reviews say the same… money, money money! So if your buddy needs help, think twice about taking them to this horrific vet practice, you would be safer crossing over and taking them to sainsburys And unfortunately it’s not possible to give them no stars at all!!

Fantastic experience: Very good experience even though my dog was shaking before and after having injection

Negative experience: Our elderly Yorkshire terrier was put to sleep shortly after Christmas. We requested an individual cremation as we wanted to have his ashes to be with us. A fortnight later I found out that he had been put into a general cremation. There were no ashes for us to bring home. The devastating loss of our beloved boy has been compounded by the terrible errors which were made. I would urge anyone who is in the heartbreaking situation of having to have a pet put to sleep, to check then double-check multiple times that their wishes have been correctly recorded so that this doesn't happen to them. A commitment was made to me by the vet involved, to review and improve all stages of the processes involved once a pet has been put to sleep, and also introduce safeguards so that this can never happen again. We have been with this practice for many years with no issues. I am devastated that the final requests we made to them were so badly mishandled. It was an unforgivable mistake. The new safeguards will hopefully protect both pets and their owners from the additional grief I have and am suffering. Unfortunately it wasn't in place for us.

Negative experience: Heartless money grabbers. Recently had my dog put to sleep at Vets 4 Pets. They did everything great when we took my French bulldog up up until seconds after he was no longer with us Me and my mam, emotional saying our goodbyes. He wasn't dead even 60 seconds and we had someone in the room asking for £280+ Just no empathy. They could have taken payment beforehand or even gave us 5 minutes to gather ourselves afterwards but they just wanted the payment and then for us to leave. Good vets in terms of appointments and pricing, it's just a shame how they handled us at this time

Negative experience: Absolutely awful vets. I would not recommend to anyone who cares for their animals. My 1 year old cat got spayed a couple weeks ago and then fell very ill the other day. Took her to the vets in the morning and they said she was dehydrated so they gave her fluids. Had to come back on the night at 6pm because she was having seizure after seizure. They “didn’t know what was wrong with her” so first solution was to put her to sleep because they are lazy and want to go home. They’ve clearly done something wrong with spaying her and a blood clot has travelled to her brain causing her to have the seizures. They are honestly terrible, lazy and can’t do their jobs properly. They were meant to find out what was wrong with her and instead told me to put her to sleep. Absolutely disgusting of them. Change vets for my other cat as they cannot be trusted.

Fantastic experience: The team have looked after our four dogs since we moved here 6 years ago. The vets are very professional and the team are very friendly and bend over backwards to do their best for their clients. Would highly recommend.

DemoDan Soundwavemusic Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: After taking my cat in when there was clearly something wrong with her we were told there's nothing wrong with her, she fit and healthy and nothing wrong with her. 24 hours later she had to be taken to PDSA gateshead and was subsequently put to sleep. The care and treatment here was appalling. She made have made a full recovery had she had been seen to properly. I am livid and would not recommend anyone taking their pet here for help

Negative experience: It's totally right what someone said it's a conveyer belt for animals.we wrte only in with the nurse for a few minutes, asked a few questions but they didn't seem interested at all. When they were at fram the reception staff were lovely but i haven't seen them again.i didn't like the reception staff at all in the new practice, one of them were very rude.we will be cancelling our package and going elsewhere where they treat your dogs as they should be treated.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday we had to have our staffordshire bull terrier put to sleep she was 13 year old i cant thank the receptionists enough after seeing us upset they took us into the room to wait i cant thank vet beth enough for what she done how discreet she done it so tilly didnt no what was happening and she passed peacefully with her family around her x

Negative experience: AVOID AVIOD AVOID my sisters cat was fine and healthy until she went here to be spayed then she took very ill and passed away

Debi Meayers Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I have a pet I used to take to the other practice, this place is better as pets are segregated, and easier to get parked, still the same lovely veterinarians, caring and passionate about animals .

Fantastic experience: First time visiting here with a litter of puppies for their first injections. Staff were all very friendly and great value for money too

Joanne Curry Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: I will never bring any of my animals here again, at first I read the reviews and they sounded amazing so thought It would of been the best choice, how wrong I was. My cat was very ill and yes I got an appointment straight away with them and the reception staff where amazing! But once I seen the vet (can't remember his name) all he done was take my cats temperature and subscribe him 3 types of medication, no blood test no explanation on what was wrong with him apart from an high temperature (what i already explained) we where in the room less then 5 minutes before we got sent out on our merry way, 1 week later after taking his medication he become even worse so had an emergency appointment at an different vets to then loss him that night! If the vet actually done his job properly we might of had an chance to help my cat and get the right medication he needed! It's was like an conveyor belt of pets in and out and a money pit, there was no care

Negative experience: I registered my chihuahua 'fudge' with this practice so from 8 weeks old to his departing age 10yrs, soon to be 11yrs you would assume a good level of trust and feel safe knowing your pet was being given the best care and feel comfortable being somewhere familiar. Unfortunately not the case, fudge was given antibiotics prescribed over the phone and brought to the home at his home visit for what was being treated as an anal abscess, with an examination and the vet unable to extract the abscess manually the course of tablets began. Unfortunately these tablets had no effect and after some weeks of persistence with antibiotics the swollen area had grew bigger. Fudge was booked in for the day for tests, one week later after receiving the biopsy he was booked in for day surgery as the lump on his rectum was in fact a cancerous tumor. Surgery was carried out 24th July 2023 roughly 3pm to remove the cancer and was allowed home by 6.30-7pm that same day. I returned fudge to the practice 25th July as I could see he wasn't well at all, more tablets and sent home again. 26th July I again took fudge back to the practice I knew they had missed something, so morphine and fluids and a further examination it was revealed that fudge's bowel had been cut open during surgery. We were sent home and told to buy Calpol as a top up on what he could have for pain I was told fudge needed surgery to repair the bowel but was not strong enough. That day after lunch I received a call to return fudge so he could be operated on. Surgery was carried out on the Wednesday afternoon 26th July to repair the bowels and was allowed home by 7pm that same Day. I was told fudge was not in pain and was manageable at home ' even though I was at the point I was frightened to pick him up or even touch him '. Fudge deteriorated over the weekend and 31st July he was kept at the vets for pain relief and fluids to be given, I was not coping very well at all but each time was told he's in no pain and can be managed at home, unsure why any veterinary practice would do any surgeries and not have the facilities for overnight stays... I returned to the practice that afternoon I knew I had to let fudge go, my heart broken I arrived without letting the practice know as I knew fudge would still have his drips in his legs, at reception I let them know I couldn't take him home and to let the vet know not to remove his cannula's. Fudge took his last breath in my arms, I held him for as long as allowed and just like that it was all ended. I've had excuses one after the other and lies told from start to finish,I've complained and March 2024 I received the final outcome from RCVS and unfortunately they have closed fudge's case with the findings being there was no wrong doing on the vets part. At one point I was told that fudge's second surgery was performed as a good Will gesture! And I would not be billed! A lot of errors a lot of lies and unfortunately a lot of cover-ups by all involved in fudge's case, I was unable to show how fudge spent the last week of his life until now. My photos are heart breaking and sadly they are uncomfortable to look at, some are so shocking your unable to know what you are looking at. I know deep down it was rushed surgery that caused this, sadly vets being money greedy is to blame. I hope you read fudge's story and I thank you for doing so, Sarah from County Durham.

Negative experience: On the first visit, I was left waiting for over an hour. No apologies. Dog was in for ear hemorrhage. Drained and just told to come back if it comes back. I'd use another vets if possible

Carol millsfield Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: I find all the staff approachable, and they genuinely seem to care about the welfare of my dogs.

Notalot Alotto Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: The staff and vets are friendly and professional enough and treat my dog with reasonable care, however when I bought my little dog the breeder paid for the boosters and health check for life so I wasn't a paying customer and this is noticed the twice I have been there, I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment time and was asked to take a seat as normal, I was seen 25 minutes after my appointment time with at least 8 people coming in after me and leaving before me! Because they were handing over payment after seeing the vet! I'm not saying this was the case but I surely felt this way plus I was in the vets room for less than a minute.

Fantastic experience: Heartfelt thanks to all the team at Vets4Pets Durham, I can't articulate how amazing you all are & how thankful I am for all your help with my gorgeous baby girl Poppy. You all went above & beyond for her & showed her so much love, especially Richard White who performed her surgery, arranged her chemo & was with us at the end. Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic experience taking our 10 week old puppy for his second jabs here. Bobbie-Jade was friendly, welcoming and reassuring as our vet nurse, a delight! The vet, Richard, was the cherry on top - he was wonderful with our pup Teddy & made the experience even more memorable and positive. Would fully recommend to anyone that wants a quality vet with a good atmosphere & a reassuring presence.

Fantastic experience: YEARLY UPDATE ( 6/9/23 ) ... Scroll down for details Was a whole hour early nervously waiting to register my lively 9 week old kitten. Gemma and Melanie most calm and reassuring for which i was grateful. Seen early by the very efficient and may I say attractive veterinary nurse Amy. She referred to mecto Spanish vet Aitor. He had little to say apart from describing Jess my black and white cat as feisty. Everyone super efficient andvi was somewhat reeling with new information regarding responsible pet ownership. Look forward to a good future relationship with Vets 4 pets personnel 6/9/23 Returned to the vets for Jess's yearly health check and vaccination. It was commented upon that I was 30 mins early but I was relieved to find and catch this fully grown cat in time for his appointment ! Was seen 15 mins early which was pleasing. Pet passed the health check with flying colours and vet Richard very informative and accommodating. He kindly wished me a safe trip home... a nice touch as it had been difficult concentrating on road safety when transporting a constantly howling cat !! Thanks to staff for efficient service. Ellis Coxon.

Fantastic experience: Excellent vets practice with very caring vets, nurses and reception staff. Saved my dogs life. Exceptional after care too. I can not speak highly enough of this Vets4pets.

Cat Ryan Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: These vets are not linked but rather separate franchises so if you are travelling with your dog friend you can't visit a local branch and have centralised records. Medivets seem like a better option for us as a result as we travel around alot.

Susan Gamble Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Thank you so very much for saving my little Ruby's life. It really was touch and go. She's nearly back to normal. Shes put on weight, and is having her walks increased. This was our first time visiting this vets and I couldn't recommend them enough. They were so fantastic. And Richard was so caring as was the first vet we saw. They kept in touch with us all the way. Ruby thanks you all.xx

tommy t Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Couldn't fault them, so caring from the 1st time we walked though the door. It shows that there care about pets. We have been to a few vets in the past but will be sticking to this one. Would highly recommend them. The place is very clean and the staff are lovely and caring.

Fantastic experience: After a not so good experience with my usual vets (and a hefty bill) I came down to Vets4Pets in Durham, from Newcastle, after a friend recommended them due to their excellent knowledge of sight hounds. I saw Richard and he was fantastic. Got to the root of the problem and gave me options on treatment. I went with what he recommended and 2 weeks later after the right diagnosis and medication my whippet Billie is back to normal again. Great service from everyone at the practice. Richard even rang me to check how she was doing. Thank you all at Vets4pets Durham.

Dale Oram Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Bright Gemm our westie in to see the vet as she wasn’t herself and was loosing weight rather quickly. The vet explained everything with us reguarding what could be wrong but we had to bear in mind Gemm was 16 years old .Because of the amount of weight she had lost and her quality of life not being the same we had to make the decision to let her go rather than suffer.Tge gentleman vet was brilliant from start to finish in such a sad time no rush he let us say our goodbyes before she went really would recommend this practice I had two wearied one went two years ago age 19 and Gemm today age 16 and both were looked after at the Durham practice. Many thanks to all the staff here that looked after us over the years.

Fantastic experience: Saw Richard 1 of the Partner Vets today with Benji for a check up and injections. He was lovely with him as Benji can be very nervous when he's been in the car...and new experiences... He has such a wonderful calming demeanor and Benji had a great visit!! We also saw Richard last October when he put our very elderly dog Miffy to sleep. It was the 1st time we had met him and he was just amazing and so very compassionate with myself and my daughter at such a difficult visit... Thankyou for all your help...x

Steve Coxon Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: Very good service - good communication / updates - location is good for us even its a bit of journey. Staff are friendly. As with all vets the prices are a bit on the wow side but that's the price of having a pet.

Carole Loughlin Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: Parking good, level access plenty of roam in waiting area. Only negative was the wait time in the cubicle which was hot, had no ventilation and no chair to rest on.

Audrey C Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: Reception staff are kind, parking is good, the wait times are short or long depending on the time of day. Everyone here seems to really care about the animals that come in.

Paula Gayler Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Very good as usual, only went for his yearly vaccinations. Vet's and reception staff are always lovely.

Positive experience: We have used vets4pets for a number of years now, overall a good vets. The appointment ls can run a little late sometimes and the parking can be limited at busy times. We've never had to use this vets as an emergency so not sure on their capacity for short notice appointments. If you're new to the vets or just not realised the link to pets at home....if you're a member of pets at home club you do get occasional discounts at this vets.

Fantastic experience: First of all my son took daisy to the vets so I only met I think she was a vet she was very nice, the reason I was highly satisfied is because I had no problems at all everyone was absolutely lovely, very approachable and very kind, this vets was recommended to me by my bosses son who had both his dachshunds neutered, I knew then that this was the vets for me 40 minute journey to get there but was worth at 100% and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody at vets for pets at Durham a massive thank you and Daisy is doing very very well thank you again x

Positive experience: The vet was great with our dog and very helpful and has , hopefully resolved the problem. The only issue was the waiting time which caused our dog unnecessary anxiety as she's not good indoors with other dogs.

Fantastic experience: I have 3 Cavapoo"s, the boys are fine, go for vacs, both been neutered all good. I also have Daisy, or 'little Daisy' as she is now known as! This is because she still looks like a puppy, and that's due to her list of conditions. She was born blind with a swelling on her brain. She has bladder issues, growth problems, curvature of the spine and is only 2.7kgs at 20 mnths old. Lots of tests and investigations later she is a regular visitor. Richard is wonderful with her. She's so cute, hopefully will be taking her for a while yet, thank-you all x

Fantastic experience: I felt the overall examination and vaccination of my three cats was very thoroughly done and interest was shown in the matters I was concerned about. Appointment was on time and good Covid safety measures in place.

Fantastic experience: Ozzy had a cough which was very concerning to me. Kevin the vet thoroughly examined Ozzy and was sure that he had a chest infection and that antibiotics and codeine tablets would make him better. He was right Ozzy is much better now and I was relieved that it wasn't Ozzy's heart. Kevin said after listening to Ozzy's heart that it is a strong heart. So happy dog and happy owner! Thank you all at Vets4Pets.

Negative experience: My dog was very unwell. The vets took a stool sample but could not give any treatment until a stool sample result came back. It took me taking my dog to the emergency vets during the night because he was vomiting blood and for them to phone vets for pets Durham in the morning for them to push the result. The stool results were miraculously there after the emergency ‘vets now’ had rang them concerned . I presume the results were back and had been sat on their screen but I hadn’t been called yet. The stool sample results showed a parasite infection so antibiotics were prescribed My dog continued to be really poorly and a lump grew on him, very aggressive growth . I took my dog for a biopsy on the 13th Dec and the results STILL AREN'T BACK!!! What could have been saved , might not be be now. All I keep being told is the Royal Mail postal strikes Which decent vets would send biopsies away with Royal Mail!? They should be sent with private courier such as UPS, DHL etc not Royal Mail when the media are notifying everyone of the severe delays. I am confident that the cells will not have been preserved as they should So therefore will come back inconclusive. I feel nothing is urgent for these vets. I’m pretty speechless to be honest. The fact they have sent samples & biopsies with Royal Mail is a huge no for me , especially given the advance warning of postal delays/strikes. It just shows them cost cutting I’m really unhappy. They are great when something is not urgent but have failed when I have required urgency. The lump is now twice the size and all the receptionists say is “the lab haven’t received it yet” . Had this vets used private couriers the biopsy would reach the lab within 24hours. It’s been 2 weeks and the lab haven’t received it sent with Royal Mail. Beyond shocking when my boy’s tumour could have been treatable but probably spreading rapidly- not eating , weight loss, vomiting , diarrhoea, lethargic. It’s unfair on the animal . Completely let down by this vets over £1000 later and still don’t know what’s wrong with my boy. All I ask for is a private courier and not Royal Mail when sending biopsies. (Even if people are given the option to pay more in order to have a private courier take their pets biopsy) My boy’s biopsy has probably been sat in a cage at Royal Mail depo for 2 weeks, even if it makes it to the lab, the cells have not been preserved I wish someone had told me that this vets send all samples and biopsies with Royal Mail. I would have chosen a different vet, e.g a Westway vets use UPS 24hr service .

Fantastic experience: My 1 year old Blue Burmese cat (BEE), unbeknownst to me at the time, had chewed and swallowed some foam board that had cased a few blockages in his stomach and gut.. fortunately for him he had the Vets at this branch to save his life with a fairly invasive procedure. For the first 5 days he didn’t eat but slowly he came back and made a full recovery in 10 days. Thanks Kevin and all the other Vets for their great work and care for our treasured pets x

Fantastic experience: Vets 4 pets have been brilliant with the care of my Cat. She broke her leg last year and they were amazing and she made a total recovery. I wouldn’t use another vet

Tanya Curtis Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: The staff were brilliant Marley-Blue & Hachi-Ghost were very settled even with cats being in the vets & small dogs . Kevin was brilliant with my fur babies whom don't like injections only Hachi-Ghost made a whimper . Marley-Blue even had a pedicure which he has never had before I was told he was as good as gold.

Fantastic experience: Took my little twinkles as in twin kittens Monday. The ladies were so kind as I broke down in tears. Whilst the cats were under they cut their claws for free. Brilliant vets, very very happy.

Fantastic experience: The two vets I’ve seen at Vets4Pets have been great with my cat - gentle and calm toward him and clear at explaining any issues to me. It is generally straightforward and fast to get an appointment. The reception staff are also lovely. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: My cat was seen promptly and fully examined, temperature taken and received antibiotic injection which was my preference over capsules. I was advised to make another appointment after a few days if there was no improvement. He is also booked in for his booster jab on 28th October.

Fantastic experience: Did a great job on my cat "fin ". He's recovered very quick and is back to his normal ......let's say energetic self. The reception staff laughed at my joke but the vet didn't. So that makes the score . Reception 1 - 0 Veterinary staff thank you

Fantastic experience: We've only been with Vets4Pets for just over 7 months and they have been amazing from our first visit professional, caring towards us and our most loved pet, they listened to us and guided us on the best option for us going forward. They've reached out to us again and their thoughtfulness has brought tears to our eyes at our time of grieving, it was so kind and comforting it really is appreciated by the whole family

Fantastic experience: Really great with our Luna , she had the best care and very little need for after care. They do what it says on the tin (not making a drama out of it ).10/10.

Fantastic experience: We rushed our chihuahua here over bank holiday as she was unwell and our normal vets was closed. We called up and instantly got an appointment, when we arrived we were seen within 5 minutes. The vet was so knowledgable and knew his stuff considering he had no notes on our dog. He took his time to check over our dog and told us unfortunately she was very unwell, we discussed options but as the morning went on our dog needed help breathing. The vet kept her and told us to return in a few hours, unfortunately we returned a few hours later to sadly put her to sleep. We can’t thank the staff enough for the way they handled our dog and the total empathy shown towards us during such a heart breaking time. We felt they actually cared about our dog rather than just wanting our money. Will be recommending this vets in the future! Thank you again!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely Amazing!!! I don't live in Durham but I was staying at my Partners when my Chihuahua took ill!...The Receptionist was so Empathic on the Phone...She calmed me down & booked me in straight away...The Reception itself is very warm & freindly & the staff are at front of house & not stuck behind glass in another room as they are at my home vets!...The Vet was Fantastic too...So Thorough & gave my Dog a stroke & talked calmly to her...Not like some vets who just don't seem to interact with animals properly & see them as "a job to do"... She gave my Baby a really good M.O.T. & did her glands for me & she gave her 2 injections of a Pain killer i think & an Antibiotic one & I brought back medication too for the next 4 days...The Service was Great from start to finish! I came out of there feeling so re-assured that my Baby is going to be ok...(She said any problems just pop her back in)...If they weren't about 40 mile away from my home Town I would Register her there No Hesitation at all! Thank to Vets4Pets...xxx

Positive experience: 90% of reception staff really caring and helpful, all the actual vets I’ve seen though have been absolutely spot on with any problems. Tell you their honest opinion rather than what’s going to make them extra money.

Kacie Ling Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Richard White was our veteran for a baby rabbit binx, ans i couldn’t be more relieved. He was a caring and understanding person and gave some great advice and medication, overall vers4pets is definitely the place for my animals as i know they will get the best care.

Fantastic experience: The reception staff clearly love animals they have been very kind to me particularly since I lost Winston to a tumour. They understand I am.still grieving and worried about Maggie. When Winston became unwell I couldnt have asked for more from ringing being given immediate appointment getting Winston straight in and the Vets compassion and expert advice. There was no delay or any unneeded intervention. We were given time to say goodbye and reception staff were very kind I've been using them for 7 years and trust them with all of my dog. The reception staff are amazing

Negative experience: I telephoned Vets4pets Durham asking for details on the BVA eye examination carried out. The receptionist was so unhelpful!! I just got told ‘Full up so look on Facebook like everyone else!’ What an attitude!!! Would not recommend and won’t be using!!
