Fantastic experience: Always helpful and less expensive than the national veterinary practices.

Negative experience: Rang up today to see if I could register my dog here after already being registered elsewhere. the person on the phone didn't particularly seem interested in my custom and was actively stating to stay where I am currently as it would be cheaper than them.... shame as they came really highly recommended but this initial impression has left me thinking about trying elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I took my cat in with a suspected anal gland infection and the whole experience was fantastic. The vet was calm, thorough, and explained everything clearly without making me feel silly or judged. He treated her quickly, gave the necessary injections, and reassured me about what to expect afterwards. I really appreciated how kind and professional everyone was. Thank you so much for taking such good care of her.

Fantastic experience: When we lived in Sutterton where we had a small holding. We had Ian Laird as our vet. He is one of the nicest vets you could ever meet. After leaving Sutterton we moved to Kirkby Green where I met up with Ian again when he attended a blind Cow in the adjoining field next to our home. I felt honoured to meet up with him again. First class vet. Recently I have adopted 2 cats who are spoilt to bits. I would not hesitate for one second should I need vet services in the future I wouldn’t go anywhere else but Ian Laird Such an amazing vet and person. A privilege to know

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Ian Laird Surgery enough. Meg has been in twice recently, first time for a lump removal & secondly for an emergency appointment on Boxing Day for a UTI. I have used them for many years from livestock to pets, always outstanding. I wouldn’t trust anyone else. Always reasonably priced too! Thank you very much!

Fantastic experience: Have used Ian at his Veternary practice for longer than 25 years. He’s fantastic vet and very caring and knowledgeable, responds very quickly when needed. Prices are much cheaper than any others which is always a bonus, but that’s a minor issue. I won’t use anyone else.

Fantastic experience: Amazing veterinary practice. Ian and the team have been brilliant with both our two cavaliers. There's always someone at the end of the phone happy to answer our queries and make appointments when needed. Can't praise them enough. Ian has really helped our older dog with a chronic skin condition and quickly treated our puppy when she was quite poorly recently.

Fantastic experience: Ian has been our family vet for over 15 years, and has never been anything short of amazing. We’ve never had a problem getting to see him, even out of hours / home visits where needed, and he is so clearly animal centric that we’d never go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Had a emergency visit yesterday as my dog had a grass seed in his paw the receptionist was brilliant as always and Ian took his time explaining that an operation was needed to explore and remove it I cannot recommend this vets enough they are kind and helpful and most of all they do care about your animals (picture of Arthur after his operation)

Fantastic experience: I have just phoned to ask if it would be possible to register my dog whilst myself and my family are visiting the area . Due to my dog Amber being blind and diabetic I just wanted peace of mind that I can call on a vets if needed . I spoke to a lovely receptionist who was so helpful and sorted it out . I can’t thank her enough . Excellent customer service was given .

Negative experience: Surprised at the frankly shocking attitude of the receptionist at this practice. I am fairly new to the area and originally registered with Medivet. However as this practice is virtually on my door step I thought I would change and register my dogs here. Very surprised that the receptionist very rudely refused to allow me to register simply because I had previously used Medivet. I thought members of the public were allowed freedom of choice? It seems not. Is there some sort of vet's "closed shop mafia" in this area. Really BAD attitude! I would suggest they ask for a refund from the charm school, because the polite manners and charm course clearly did not work for this receptionist! In reply to the lies from the owner in his reply, the "abuse" he claims was me making one comment that the call was a waste of time, before ending the call. I suggest he gets his FACTS straight rather than responding with lies. I hope you have a good evening.

Fantastic experience: The best vet I have ever been too! With having french bulldogs the vets tend to be a regular occurrence! , since changing to Ian p laird my blue Frenchie has 100% improved and is very reasonably priced

Fantastic experience: My dogs are new patients, seen a few months ago for their jabs, my Scottie needed her teeth cleaning, and the bad ones removing. Very kind, caring service, Ian even offered to put my dog in the car. Very happy with the service, and price. Excellent vet.

Fantastic experience: Took our 7 months old Yorkshire as she had diarrhoea and sickness on Saturday evening. I contacted Ian who said come straight over and he would meet us at the surgery, which he did. I am now please to say she is well on the mend. As usual Ian and the team have worked their magic and given superb service and support. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Edit 10/2024: sadly we lost flower a few years ago but we continue to come here with our 7 year old rescue dog who has just had an appointment here with Fran. She’s wonderful with our dog. Had the unfortunate job of emptying his anal glands today and she was so wonderful with him. Thankyou Fran :) Iain treated our 13 year old cat, Flower, on the day she returned home after she had been missing for several days. She was underweight and had an unknown mouth problem which left her unable to eat and barely able to drink. We've just collected her today and you'd not think she'd had 8 teeth extracted or been so poorly. I'm so pleased we found Iain the vet, I feel our pets will be in safe hands with him and his team. THANKYOU from a much happier, healthier cat and her humans :)

Fantastic experience: Ian is a fantastic vet, very calming for both pets and owners. My dog loves seeing him. I rang him on a Sunday evening as my old girl hurt her leg, he saw us straight away and checked her over. He's very knowledgeable, trustworthy and kind hearted.

Fantastic experience: Excellent equine and all round vet, update 2024, Ian has saved my little Pygmy goat, he is an amazing, caring lovely man. He came out to see my wether on a Sunday, then rang me following Monday to check on him, eventually we took Ian’s advise and took my wether (Eddie) to Ian’s surgery at 5pm, he operated that evening, and stayed with Eddie until we were allowed to collect him.. that was 10.30 pm, Ian must have been so tired, but his love and care for animals always comes first. I can’t thank Ian and his team enough , and would not go anywhere else for my animals.

Fantastic experience: We lost our beautiful 13yo lab earlier this year. He had a very sudden illness in the early hours. Ian arrived quickly to our house at 6am. No other vets were answering their phones and traveling to the 24 hour vet was not an option for our very poorly dog, that hated cars. Thank you for helping ease Obi's last moments.

Negative experience: I’m going to travel to a different area for a vet. I was shocked that when I had an emergency this week. My puppy found 2 of my diabetic pills.( Believe me I have the naughtiest pup in the world who finds everything )And I’m sure he ate them. And I felt there was no support or kindness here i walked in I didn’t see the vet just the young girls working there. And the payment was mentioned 3 times and made sure I payed it before he was treated. even though I was visibly upset. £192 for an injection to make a small puppy sick was disgusting. What if I didn’t have the money. They would rather a pet die. This is why so many owners have to give their pets up. The prices are absolutely absurd. The vet walked in the garden after 20 mins and said a few words not comforting whatsoever and walked back in. There was no care here. Frank will not be going back here.UPDATE The only inaccuracy is in your reply, I was in the surgery less than 10 minutes after i called, and i was totally a mess talking to another lady in there how disgusting it was the way it was all about money, how is it false to say if i didn't pay you wouldn't have treated him? all I'm saying here is this is the reason why shelters are over run and pets are being put down and given up, the propositus prices that we loving pet owners are forced to pay, to say i didn't seem worried or upset is a disgusting thing to say frank is my baby if i didn't care i wouldn't have brought him to you would i ? frank is absolutely fine by the way not that anyone called to ask as you were all apparently so concerned

Fantastic experience: went today, as my baby guinea pig ended up having diarrhoea. had 3 injections and immediately perked up and is now finally eating. very happy :)

Fantastic experience: Great vet highly recommended. When my cocker spaniel had to be put to sleep Ian took his time and was really gentle. He made the experience much better for me. He treats my other dog and always explains everything properly to me.

Fantastic experience: I can't thank this vet enough. Our 11year old rottweiler fell ill and new to the area I didn't know where to go but am I glad I called here. We were made to feel like kada wasn't just pound signs. We were given smpathetic advice. And although Ian did everything possible for her we sadly had to say goodbye to her a few days later. This was done with such dignity and not rushed in any way and for that I will always be grateful. I couldn't recommend them enough. Absolutely 10/10 thank you
