Fantastic experience: Can’t speak highly enough of the staff and the surgery. After our cat was hit by a car, I called the clinic and he was seen and assessed as soon as we arrived and within less than hour of the incident. Between the very kind staff on reception (2 ladies and a gentleman - I only remembered Vikkis name sorry!) and the expert care of 3 vets we saw over the consultations (again I can only remember one name, Florin who was lovely) I was reassured of their experience and advice. Fortunately Jasper has a few of his nine lives left and has made a great recovery - our heartfelt thanks to the great team at Lancaster!

Fantastic experience: Amazing team who were very supportive and professional during a difficult emergency appointment for our Cat. Couldn't say nicer things about the staff.

Fantastic experience: Vets for pets have been amazing with my dogs, sadly we had to have Archie put to sleep last year due to old age, they were brilliant given the circumstances, the whole process made it a lot easier for us. Then this year our other dog needed some fatty mumps removed, from dropping her off in the morning for her operation to picking up the same evening was a an easy and stress free process, we were kept informed by Whatsapp messages during the process and she was treated as an individual dog rather than some veterinary practices who treat them all the same. I'd like to thank leah and andrew who made the whole process easy and stress free, an asset to your company.

Negative experience: Contacted vet4pets Lancaster yesterday the service provided on the telephone was perfect as I was so worried about my dog! and an emergency appointment was made for the same day Arrived at the surgery at 17:45pm greeted by kind caring compassionate reception team which was lovely as I was worried sick about my dog. Then……… we were invited to see the vet and things started going wrong from there, I have never come across such a rude, uncompassionate, disrespectful person in my life, at a time of worry and concern for my 14 year old dog who clearly was very unwell this vet who just made me feel 1, uncomfortable 2, disrespected 3, questioning my integrity, this is not something I would expect to receive specially with being so upset my dog was so unwell and secondly the money they charge for just an appointment to then be treated what I can only say a peace of dirt on the bottom of his shoe. Thank goodness I took my dog away yesterday evening and then sort further help from a local vets which I can say was so professional and so full of compassion, unfortunately my dog has now gone to sleep but the service I received from the vets I used made the ordeal much more comfortable with there kind and supportive ways I’ve used vets4pets for a number of years even the groom room and never received treatment like I did yesterday at such a worrying time, would I use this vets again in the future for any of my animals the answer is definitely a big fat NO

Fantastic experience: Outstanding service I have recently received at Vets4Pets in Morecambe. Vet Florin in particular deserves a special mention. He showed the greatest compassion and empathy towards my cat Draco. I cannot thank him enough for the care and support given during such a very difficult time. He really did go the extra mile. Florin is a real credit to the practice.

Fantastic experience: On Wednesday 24th September 2025, I phoned Vets4Pets in Morecambe because my dog, Charlie (12years old), wasn’t well. They gave me an appointment about 90 minutes later. On examination, I was given the worst possible news. The vet explained that Charlie was very ill and, even with expensive surgery, his life would only be extended by a few short months. I reluctantly made the decision to let him go. Charlie and I were moved to a quiet room. A member of the team helped with the paperwork and then the vet gave the injection. Charlie slipped away peacefully in my arms. I was given as much time as I needed to say goodbye and to start grieving. At the time, I wasn’t sure if I wanted Charlie’s ashes. The team told me there was no rush to decide, and they would call me in a few days. When I went back, I was given Charlie’s paw prints and a small vial of his fur as a keepsake. A week later, they rang again to check if I wanted his ashes back. This has been a terrible week for me, but the Vets4Pets team have been fantastic. They explained everything clearly, gave me time to make my own decisions, and were both professional and compassionate throughout. I can only imagine how difficult it must also be for them to support families in these moments, but they handled everything with care. If I were to get another dog in the future, I would definitely return to them.

Fantastic experience: I have used vets for pets in Lancaster for my cat and my dog. Every time I have had to use them whether it's for routine vaccinations or emergencies me and my animals have received excellent care and service. The reception staff are amazing and always happy to help and clearly love animals as they always make a fuss and make you feel welcome. The vets I have seen have always been great and they have recommended treatments that are suitable for my individual pet. Unfortunately, veterinary treatment is expensive, however I have always been informed of the costs of helping my animals and the reality of options that are available. I use a different vet for one of my other dogs, and I find that the costs of treatment at vets for pets is very good value for money when compared to other practices. Special mention goes to Liz on reception as she was really cheery (and on a Saturday morning no less) and her service was exceptional today. Thank you for being who you are and don't change! Franc enjoyed his biscuit! Holly less so

Negative experience: Where do I start? Put it this way. 3 months, 2 separate occasions 2 different cat's. 2 complaints to HEAD OFFICE. Just made my second complaint now after doing my research. My first complaint I just got an apology from the Senior Vet manager (who no longer is there) let's see how this 1 goes! See my research photo below, so WHY DID THE VET IN QUESTION DO THIS, SURELY AS A VET YOU SHOULD KNOW NOT TOO!!!!!

Negative experience: I have been with the vets for around 6 months now and the reception team are lovely and great. However, I have had many problems since my cat got spayed. They spayed my cat on her stomach area rather than on the side like most. This caused many complications and she ended up with a hernia. This then needed removing asap, and was down to a spay wound breakdown meaning her stitches had became undone on the inside, leaving me to wonder whether it is down to the procedure or wrong sutures used? When told she would need this surgery I asked how insurance would cover it as I am new to this and they responded with “she needs the surgery either way” and I was never offered a payment plan and expected to pay £900+ and told insurance would cover it, after being told she needed the surgery there and then and that it would not go ahead without payment I made the payment after being told insurance covered it, to then later find out that my insurance do not cover it and I lost £900. After this, I’m considering moving vets as I feel like inadequate care was taken and the way everything else was handled was just unprofessional. I tried to talk to the surgeons about this to which again felt very unprofessional.

Negative experience: There is a lot I could say about our experience here, but i think what sums it all up is when after a month of almost-daily appointments and £3000 spent fighting to keep our lab alive, we came in to put him down. The process was explained, all goodbyes were said, cannula put in, we're waiting for it to start - when a nurse comes in with a card reader... and its £100 more than the quote given over the phone... It is hard to tell whether it is the people who work here, or the way the chain is set up as a business, but I feel more cared for as a client at a walk-in highstreet nail shop. I would like to thank the nurse who administered the injection, she was very respectful and professional. And the Vet who did rocky's glucose curve appointments. He never made us feel stupid for pushing for treatment of an "old" dog.

Fantastic experience: Our cats first visit and all the staff were fantastic. From Andrew in the desk helping us register for a care plan and explaining all the benefits to the vet who saw our cat and was thorough in explaining the medication he was giving him and reassuring us everything was fine

Hannah Mitchell Posted on Google 1 year ago

Positive experience: Reception cant fault then in anyway they are always lovely and always wanting to help. Its more just one vet that could of cost us our cats life. Few months back we came in with our cat, who was showing signs as though he was paralysed. The male vet who saw us, checked him over and said he should be fine gave him paracetamol for the rest of the week. Even though he couldnt walk. We then took him to lancaster vets because we wanted a second oppinion, where he had a xray and ultrasound which was advised at vets4pets. He had some internal bleeding, bruised liver and kidneys, fractures and needed very strong medication, he was on morphine, gabapentin, aswell as paracetamol, and laxatives as he was unable to poo because of the pain he was in. He was in excruciating pain and paracetamol just wouldnt of done anything. Before this experience weve always had good things to say but it has made us worry now wether to trust their first oppinion.

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to say thank you to the team at Vets4Pets Lancaster, especially Iona and Florin who have been the surgeons and vets I have been dealing with. Have felt very at ease even with the difficulty of investigating a lump we found on our dog. A biopsy was needed firstly, then a further operation to remove the lump and spay. We were kept updated on the surgery days from the staff on WhatsApp which really helped knowing everything was going smoothly and that our dog wasn’t lonely or fretting when she would’ve been scared. The surgery done has been so neat and she’s been recovering so well both times. I really can’t fault the service I’ve received and feel confident for anything else that may arise in the future. Thank you for all your help

Fantastic experience: The team truly cares for my furry friends' wellbeing, and it shows. Always very friendly and sweet with my cats - even Toby, despite all his sulks! They handle them with such care and take their time with every appointment. Shout out to the reception team for always being so welcoming, Marloes for her outstanding level of knowledge, (a true cat expert!), Florin and Valeria for taking care of my babies' procedures, and Emily and Hollie for always making such a big fuss of them. Your love and compassion for my pets never goes unnoticed! Love Kelly, Toby, Alfie, and Kovu

Negative experience: We’ve been bringing our dog Loki to this vets since we got him 3 years ago. We didn’t have many problems with them at first, apart from we always left feeling like we weren’t the best dog parents as he is a hyperactive dog, and we couldn’t keep him under control enough for their liking. Fast forward to September last year and we took Loki to the vet due to him shaking a lot and having itchy paws. The vet we saw (I can’t remember his name, however I believe he was a Western European man) was extremely rude and dismissive with us. After examining him, he then wanted us to pay up to £350-£400 to get blood tests and other tests done and when we told him we would need to wait until we got paid the next day, he gave a snort of derision as if again, we were bad dog parents. Fast forward again to Wednesday 1st May when Loki was due his vaccinations. As me and my wife were on holiday, my brother took him to his appointment for us and again, he saw the same vet as previously mentioned. When he arrived, he was asked to put Loki on the scales however when telling the vet his weight, he wasn’t happy with this and put Loki on the scales himself and shouted in his face to “stay there” multiple times. Then in the consultation room, he had been given his injection and then became scared so he started running around the room. Because the vet couldn’t be bothered to try and calm Loki down, he then tried to muzzle him whilst my brother had to hold him and another vet came and grabbed his back legs. Then the muzzle started to come off and it was forced back on his face before putting the kennel cough drops onto his nose. Due to him being so scared and trying to wriggle free, he now has sores under both of his arms from where his harness has rubbed him (photos attached). We are aware that we have a hyperactive dog, however it shouldn’t be an excuse to treat him like that and he didn’t need to be muzzled as he has NEVER been aggressive with anyone. They should have a duty of care for our animals and it seems that all they want is your money. We have now cancelled our care plan with them and we won’t ever return with Loki or any future pets.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I won't be using these vets again. The receptionists were lovely but found the vets more interested in the money side. We took our dog in as she had discharge. I was immediately told either put her down or surgery at £1800!! As our dog was 12yrs we decided to put her down. As soon as we decided, the vet then said there was another option which was to give her 3 injections and have her spade this was 15mins into the conversation. I felt the vet was trying to get out as much they could from us before giving us the cheaper option which was £800. I felt emotionally used and that I could have had my dog put down when she didn't need to be.

Fantastic experience: The Girls in the Groom Room are Brilliant, first cut on our 6mth Shitzu pups was perfect. They listened to our thoughts and we got perfection. Fantastic experience: Marley was taken ill last week, I rang vets for pets at 8am and he was seen 35 minutes later. The vet was great but have to say a big thank you to the nurse Vikki she was present at the initial appointment and also at the follow-up. Marley is now back to his usual self. Would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: We have owned Cairn Terriers for over forty years and joined Vets4Pets when Louise and Phyllis first started it and always received fantastic service. This started to change about eighteen months ago when a new management team took over. Nine months ago we took our 13 year old Cairn back after a lump which had had major surgery to remove it a year previously at a cost of over £1,000 started to grow back causing concern. The East European vet - never seen him before - was intent on one thing and one thing only, getting us to agree to major surgery which would remove the lump, including his tail, and would cost in the region of £3,000. No checks or examinations of the lump were made and when I mentioned an aspect of the previous year's biopsy he curtly said "forget about last year". We decided to wait as we did not wish to put a 13 year old through this kind of trauma without being sure. We have since visited another vet and found the lump is just a fatty one and does not need any attention. Our other nine year old Cairn was told a year ago on his regular examination that his teeth needed looking at and quoted £120 for anaesthetic and treatment. Several weeks later we received a text message to say he had been booked in for further dental work at a cost of in excess of £600. No previous notification or justification of this work was ever mentioned to us. The new vet has examined his teeth and advised that no treatment is required. We will not be returning to Vets4Pets after being a loyal customer for in excess of ten years. Thank you for your offer to talk about our experience with our two Cairn Terriers however, I don't think it would be of any help really. As in all relationships once 'trust' is lost it is difficult to move forward in a positive way.

Fantastic experience: My cat had been hit by a car, I called and was given an appointment straight away. Arrived in tears and the staff were so kind. I went straight in to a nurse who again was so kind and gentle in every way. I didn’t get her name. The vet Magdelena was thorough in examination with professionalism and kindness. She was open, practical and explained everything so clearly. She made my treatment options so clear with advice but no judgement. So supportive in every way. The price was absolutely fair and explained clearly. This was such a traumatic and emotional time made so much better by these lovey people. Misty seems to be recovering well at home thanks to this wonderful service. Thank you Lara Turner

Fantastic experience: We have used this vets for many years, we never have an issue getting an appointment. We were concerned about Skye, I rang and got seen the same day. The staff are always friendly, the vet listened to our concerns, examined Skye, prescribed the medication she needed. Discussed general health concerns and gave advice. Follow up appointment arranged. We do not have a pep plan as Skye is an older dog, we pay for treatment as needed, the prices are fair. Never had any issues with this vets

Fantastic experience: The vet was very friendly and explained everything about the vaccines and the microchipping to me. He also went through the vaccine passport with me. Fantastic experience: Staff excellent. Appointment given within the hour which was excellent when my pet was in a lot of pain. My only gripe was when asked to be referred to Noel Fitzpatrick the vet laughed at my husband and said Milnthorpe we’re just as good. I really wanted the referral to where we asked n I felt it was dismissed. I think it should really be the pet owners preference that should be taken in to account or a better explanation given if it was not possible.

Fantastic experience: I have heard such negative things about Vets4Pets as a brand but The Lancaster branch is fantastic. I’ve been a few times with different pets; cats, rats & today our dog who actually had a very nice time! He was fussed over and made to feel super comfortable. They discussed my options & cost openly with me which was really reasonable. Thank you so much for calming me down & for making Kai feel comfortable despite his poorly ear!

Fantastic experience: Very helpful and attentive staff. Appoint time was 13:00 but was not seen till 13:20 however that does not bother me and staff were very apologetic, and with it being a Sunday I could see they were clearly busy - you never know if they are dealing with an emergency behind the scenes!. The vet was very attentive and helpful didn’t feel rushed and answered all my questions. He was very good also with my puppy and gave him a thorough Examination. The receptionist were very busy also when paying but were very helpful and gave me full attention explains the healthcare plans available and pointed out that as a VIP member I was able to get it for even cheeper! Always have a great experience at this vets and recommend them to everyone I know!
